I was just doing the Divinity Coast mission, (the one with the Eye of Janthir) and something happened halfway through the mission, and the eye disappeared! I've done this mission before, and nothing like that ever happened. We thought maybe it just glitched, and we got to the end of the mission, the guy gave us the 600 gold, but we didn't finish the mission!
Has this happened to anybody else before?

Did you all get cleansed?
It is possible that they eye bounced around to a cleansed person and they hung back? Also the eye has been known to get stuck on pathing and get stuck on a corner. It usually will continue to ping the map blue or yellow though. You can just go back and get it again.
It will also get hung up on an enemy from time to time. If you ran past a baddie and kept going it might have gotten stuck and kept knocking them down while you went on without it and didn't realize it.
That's why whenever I do this mission I insist on only having one person get cleansed. It keeps control of the eye and keeps it from bouncing around. It also keeps the chosen villagers stuck to one person (preferably a backline party member) and out of harm's way.
Many people will try to tell you that you have to have all people cleansed in order to proceed through/complete the mission. This is untrue.

I'm doing it again now and we can't get the eye, but Justiciar Hablion was like, up by the fountain for some reason. We thought it was because we weren't all cleansed. I guess not.
As for the whole eye disappearing thing, we ran back and checked our whole path. it was gone!

I don't know about that eye bug but perhaps for low level constantly running this mission for the 600 gold might be a nice source of income..but i think you have to kill some undead at some point in the mission.
