After the login screen where you pick your character I had my pve character on the far left, I deleted and remade some pvp character and for some reasen it randomly moved 1 spot to the left after I re logged in, how do I move my characters postion after the login screen at character selection to a dif spot?

I need answers not people who are trying to be funny and have remarks like "Turning the monitor upside down". GG.

Arranged alphabetically, not much you can do about it.

Yep definitely alphabetical.

Test it...create characters with different names and the delete them. You will see.

i'm just wondering does it really matter where they are one at the front one at the end or all at the front or all at the end with open spaces i don't think it really matters where they are just as long as there still there and not somehow dissapear

Yea, the order your characters appear on the login screen is pretty trivial. The only thing I can think of that would get annoying is if they moved around randomly all the time with no explaination. Otherwise, Who cares?

Uh, it's not alphabetical. Several of my chars are in strange order.

It goes in this order:
  1. V
  2. L
  3. T
  4. Z

The order seems to be random here.

Well Yeah it matters, my Elem gets really pissy if she has to stand next to my Necro too long. Says something about an odor from being around all those undead.

There may be a way to mess the alphabetical order up, but I sure haven't seen it. My accounts' characters are definitely in order.

1) R. F.
2) R. K.
3) R. L.
4) R. N.

As a guess, perhaps it just alpabetizes them by last name? (It does for me at least, since my characters have the same first name )

Mine aren't in alphabetical order or the order I created the characters.

Acct 1.
A.Z. (2) Ranger
E.Z. (3) Mesmer
K.Z. (1) Ele
A.Z. (4) Necro

Acct 2.
D.Z. (1) Necro
K.Z. (3) Monk
Z.W. (2) Warrior
Z.X. (4) Ele

Edited after seeing the post from Blitzy. My profession order is messed up too.

Actually...despite mine being in alphabetical order by first name, I also noticed that they are in reverse alphabetical order by profession.

That means (left to right on screen): Warrior, Ranger, Necro, Monk.

I think the dev's intention was that the order should be alphabetical but there could be a glitch that interferes with the sorting or the sorting could be taking place only when a certain action is performed (such as creating and/or deleting a char)

I noticed the weirdness when one day, my second slot became empty. (Previously, only the last slot was empty, as one would expect). I checked the names of my current three chars and they were alphabetically sorted. Also, if I hadn't deleted the char that once occupied the empty slot (created temporarily, to check out something in pre-searing), she would have fit nicely into the second slot in the correct alpha-order.

Being the nerd that I am, and wanting to eliminate the empty slot, I created a new char called "Zzzz Something" but he ended up in the second slot. Logged in with him, played some, logged out, still the same disorder. Deleted him and my second slot was still empty - the remaining girls did not shift to fill in the gap.

I recently made another new char and she is sitting right where she should be, alphabetically speaking.

So, the order is alphabetical but disorder happens. Luckily it is not something to hit the fan.
