Ok so yes there was a thread bout this regarding the march 23 update, but i am starting a new one because:
1. i did not get this problem after the update, just today. IT was there yesterday now i can't select it today
2. and said thread went off topic into a tech lesson into what Anti-aliasing is and what video cards everyone has.
My problem:
I can no longer select anti aliasing in my options. I could yesterday, not today.
where i had the ability to select and use 0 2x or 4x now it jsut says none. and thats my only option.
Has Arenanet posted about this? did someone find a fix or work around that i didn't find?
if this is directly related to teh MAr. 23 update i find its uintersting that i have played the game 3 weeks past the 23rd and only now had the options dissappear.
Anti-Aliasing option gone from options

The option is still available on this end for Anti-Aliasing. Have you updated drivers or changed anything recently?
Sluggs
no nothing has changed since yesterday when it did work.

Quick fix (modify your shortcut target):
No clue why it stopped working for you.
Code:
"x:\path\to\guild_wars\gw.exe" -dx8
Sluggs
theres nothing dx9 in the game?
i assumed it was
what is the exact syntax?
"C:\GAMES\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dx8 doesnt give me the AA option back
"C:\GAMES\Guild Wars\Gw.exe -dx8" doesnt work at all.
or am i being a tard andn not editing the shortcut in the right spot?

GW now (by default) tries to use DX9 to render the made-for-DX8 content. The -dx8 switch forces it to use, well, DirectX 8 (and AA options come back for some people by using that switch).
