I never fight the avicara outside due to my weapon doing only 1-3 damage and after i post this ill show you why.
Armor:Superior Platemail Helm of strength or tactics and superior platemail help of strength of tactics, Absorption platemail chest, and Platemail leggings of major vigor.
My sword gives me +28 health and i dont use any zealous and the shield is -4 damage 18% chance.

In the beggenning it depends where the avicara are. sometimes you have a clear run and sometimes u got to go to the left wall to get by or sometimes u got to get past them all going north. When you get to the entrance put up live vicariously and balthazars spirit. Rush in and before the trolls attack you put up doylak signet. Hit the closest troll. Than when u can use it hit up defy pain. Now you should activate healing breeze. I know people think this is the stupidest skill to use while farming but trust me. if i had vigorous spirit instead i would die easily. Use flurry so u get more health each hit. Than start spamming riposte and deadly riposte. ALWAYS keep flurry, defy pain, doylak signet, and healing breeze on you. You should eventually kill them. Theres two bosses and thier guarded by trolls. The warrior boss is easy but the ranger boss is hard due to Escape and Frozen soil. escape makes u miss and when u got ripostes up and theres no spirit after troll unguent he puts up frozen soil. after all the trolls are dead all u got to do is spam riposte and deadly riposte. Tho it does help to time them right. Hope this helps you all
