i would like to make a warder character, but i am unsure which class/s to use and which skills would be most beneficial. i would very much appreciate some input on how to make a warder type character, even a basic one.

Protection Monk would be the best for Warder. maybe a elementalist secondary for the wards.

Or elemenatlist primary with some serious earth skills. Ward of melee, knockdown, blind, WHAT! Hehe. I gotta make one of those for PVE, it's annoying to try to find an "earth" elemenatlist for fissure or underworld.
Enigmatics
There are only 4 wards, and one is water magic, while another isn't too useful. There isn't really a build that revolves around wards yet, since wards are usually support spells themselves. I'd agree with arnansnow about being monk primary if you want to be a defensive warder.
