What Happened To Gambling?

this is way back near when gw first came out. there was gambling all over the place, then they restricted the gambling to not being able to use the emote in towns, so ppl started taing partys out of town to gamble BUT it eventualy died off! y is this. i wouldnt mind gambling every now and then

I think with the implenting of the Spectator Mode it'd be cool if you could bet on matches before they started. Then we can start referring to gvgers as small horses that don't race.

Everyone scammed the heck out of the "casinos". For example, let me just take your money and hold it for the big pot... whoops have to go. It would be kind of cool to have it implemented for spectator mode with odds based on rank. You'd have to make all the bets go in before the match began though, which would probably make a longer waiting period which would annoy the top guilds.

There would be some guilds that would just fail on purpose to beat the system. That or a greedy twat from 1 guild would bet a ton on them losing then throw the game away 'accidently' or something in order to make money, would be too easily abused.

As noted above, it was abused over and over. People wised up and quit throwing their money away.
