Gambling on GvG or PvP

Whether this is a good idea or not is debatable, but I thought personally it might be an interesting one. On the positive side you could take a chance and place a bet, possibly earning you a bit more gold. Guild vs. Guild matches would become a bit if any more popular. Finally it would motivate users to learn a bit more about the guilds competing in general, and possibly spawn a few legends or increase recruitment. On the downside there are people with gambling problems out there who might become too addicted. Also its time consuming and would take away from the gameplay basis. Another thing is if everything turns out wrong you not only lose time but money as well.

I think this idea original came up in another area of the forums.

Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with the game. I don't know if Anet really wants to promote gambling, especially to those underage players.

1) Its illegal, so 99% chance ANet would say no
2) This is GUILD Wars, not GAMBLING Wars

As i said in the other thread about gambling. It would lead to people screwing over highly ranked guilds in order to get some cash.
