Floating guild halls?

We've seen some floating castles in Kryta so I thought it would be pretty cool to see some floating guild halls. They may be in Factions, but nonetheless we don't know. Anyway, floating guild halls would just be something different instead of the usual islands. Not to mention it would be pretty nice to fight in something that floats. Also,I think it would be cool to see a floating town, but I don't think we'll see something like that till another chapter because I don't think Factions will have any towns that float.

How would a GvG match go if one Guild Hall is floating?

Well think of it this way,how do you get from guild hall to guild hall during GvG matches since they're seperate islands?

Boats or teleportation, for this I'd say teleportation.

islands in between connected by wide bridges and some narrow one's with the narrow one's being the quicker once's making it a hard choice to pack together over the narrow one ad risk being hit by aoe or take the longer more safe route muahahaha

But GvG maps are already made wit some kind of tunnels - invisible walls. IMO it's great idea. But if AN will add this, how do u can explain to children, that Captain Fierry is going to sail there?

They should put Turtle Turrets on the floating islands too. You'd really put a finality to a Guild battle when you shoot the other floating Hall down.

i can just imagine it... after a long hard guild battle where your guild emerged victorious your guild retires to the hall to celebrate with a few chilled dwarven ales. everyone gets a little drunk and you step outside for some fresh air... and fall to your death..

That would be neat, And just as a guild hall floating on water the ones in the air would have bridges.

For the fall to your death because you went out to get some fresh air, there are 3 things that can prevent that

1: Don't drink
2: Don't buy the floating guild hall if you insist on drinking but is afraid of falling to your death
3: Invest in fences

Reminds me of the game "ricochet" by Steam.

But I think it would be nice. They just have to make bridges like in Sorrow's Furnace.

Chapter 3 my friends.
Remember that in GW there is no such thing as elevation, so functionally floating guild halls are no different from normal ones.
However, I think a floating hall would be sweet.

"Remember that in GW there is no such thing as elevation"

Rangers get a height bonus when attacking from higher ground in relation to a target on lower ground. Elevation does exist in GW.

If I remember correctly, the only floating castle you come across in Chapter 1 is the Wizards Tower in Kryta.. Don't think they're going to be making that into a guild hall anytime soon.

Incorrect. Guild wars actually measures the arc it uses to make the arrow flight path, not the actual amount of height between you and your target.
If elevation existed in GW, traps would not freak up the space time continuum by existing both above and below bridges at the same time.
Even so, Floating guild halls would be functoinally the same as other guild halls, unless you're thinking of a floating base and a land-based base linked by bridges.
