Factions Question.

If you preordered Factions at a store (Gamestop), will you still be able to play a day early?

I'm no expert on the matter but I would think if you have a key you can.

did you get the special preorder bonus which is shipped separately.

simply preordering only reserves a copy without early access.

I still don't understand.

The FULL RETAIL key comes out on the 28th and allows you to play on the 28th. The bonus kit containing the early access key allows you to play on the 27th which is 24 hours before the ACTUAL release date of the FULL RETAIL. But the problem is, you NEED the FULL RETAIL disc, which comes out on the 28th. Why? Because you need the full retail disc to install the game onto your computer, otherwise how are you supposed to play on the 27th? the bonus kit did not come with any game files to install on your computer. If this is the case, then i'd say its not possible to play on the 27th and the early access is nonsense.

nono, you get to log onto factions 24hours before the rest of the people get to go onto the servers

u can use the pre order cdkey 2 get on 1 day earlier but cant take advantage of the extra slots till u get the game

As long as you have a guildwars client installed on your computer and running periodically already, you already have factions, most of it has already been downloaded to your machine. On the 27th, a new client will be released that will be downloaded when you start up guildwars. This client will allow those that have entered a preorder key to enter the factions part of the game 24 hours earlier than everyone else.

Ah thats the reason.

Yesterday I created a new character, an R/W and she had in her inventory a set of assassin daggers and a ritualist wand, neither of which I could use (they were customized) but I still played around with them in pre-sear.

Must be the pre-order gifts.
