Ok, so people that pre-ordered Factions...
ThunderStruck
It says people that pre ordered it can play it for 24 hours before the release, but how can we if we don't have the discs to install it? Can we pick the game up on the 27th or something?
Anyone know?

You won't need CDs. They are just a convenience.
If you already have the GW:Prophecies, and you have been playing during the FPE, most of the content that you need has already been streamed to your box. Most probably you will be downloading a new build and a couple hundred additional files (wild guess: about 30 MB worth 5 mins) and you'll be good to go.
If you don't have the Prophecies, you can download the client (it's tiny) from www.guildwars.com and login with your preview account. Then leave it at the login screen and it should download the needed content. Even if it does not download anything before the headstart, it should let you in the game with at most half and hour's worth of download.

They've said it a lot, but apparantly it needs to be said again. If you entered in the preorder key then as soon as it hits 27th you'll be able to start up playing Factions no questions asked. Keep in mind though that you will only get access to Factions, and not the 2 extra slots. From there you'll have until the 29th (midnight of the 28th (this is probably PST time)) to go out and buy Factions. If you don't get the game by then you'll no longer be able to play Factions until you do.

I'm playing devils advocate here...
What if I have the pre-order key and get access to Factions a day early. I take my characters over to Cantha and leave them there. After the 29th I won't have access to Factions content any more, so I wonder if my characters will be stuck in Cantha until I buy the full version of Factions...
Hmmmmm...

thanks lol i thought we were gonna have to buy it twice so i bought mine from game stop and i got over night on my pre order for 5$ so am i gonna get pre order on my actualy factions game? (i bought online)
Sereng Amaranth
The actual Jump Start CD costs nothing. The $5 you spent is to reserve a copy of the actual game. You need to request a Jump Start number to play on the 27th.
storm of daeth
well the 5$ was for the shipping so since i bought it online how can i get the key to play the full game?

sorry for asking something that has been answered, I just want to make sure before I do something that will screw up my accounts

If the access key booklet your talking about had 4 codes in it, preorder key, friend key, trial key, auto assault key, then yes, that is the preorder package. Putting in the preorder key will give your account 24 hour advance access to factions. When you get the final game package on or about the 28th, it'll have it's own key that you enter to continue having access. The preorder key is only good for about 2 days of play once the game is released after that it will not give you access to any of the factions content except for the preorder items and whatever finds it's way to tyria.
