Collector's Edition Delayed!

I got a call today from my local EB store (I live in Australia) to be told that the Collector's Edition of Factions I have pre-ordered has been delayed by 1 week (world wide delay). They have given me an option to change my pre-order to the regular box version which is releasing on schedule, or wait an extra week.

What I want to know is where is the announcement from Anet of this world wide change to the release date for GW:F Collector's Edition?

Has anyone else heard about this from reliable sources?

Also what implications will this have on the pre-order kit which gives 24hr early access to Factions but stops working on the 29th, by which time we are supposed to enter the Factions game key from our copy of the game and continue playing. I can't get my key if I receive my copy a week late.

Really confused about what is happening here. I am hoping there is some mixup but the EB staff sounded very sure of their information.
