Mursaat in Ice Floe?
Ctb
What, exactly, is the purpose of the Mursaat in Ice Floe? They're hard to kill, drop total garbage, and don't give any more XP than easy-kill, soloable trolls in Talus Chute.
I think the Mursaat are just there to aggravate people. They don't even really hamper running as effectively as the Mind-Freezing Ice Imps that are all over it.

They are there to keep people from getting to grotto before they are infused I think. Just to make it a bit more challenging to get your 15k armor before you should.
J3mo
They're just there, it's the game
I don't really see a point in this

I capped the elites from there, much less frustrating than capping while mission for example. It's fun to adventure in Ice Floe with henchies. Practically you have to solo the Mursaats ^_^ and it took me while to clear that place with elementalist and even longer with warrior. But it was blast ...

Also good points on the capping. I haven't actually capped out there before but it is nice that they put some alternate caps and therefore need to make it somewhat difficult to do so.

While i was capping the monk elite, i got a sup absorbtion from one of the jade armors.

I tried to cap some elites from there once, its possible but hard to do.
The thing is, if you want a monk elite, you will get all other profession bosses show up but the one you want.
Its like the game knows or something.
lol

Count to Potato
You can cap skills there...

Why are there Sand Wurms in the Dessert?
Why are there Trolls in the Maguuma Jungle?
Why are there Minotaurs in the Northern Shiverpeaks?
Why are there Bladed Aaxtes in the Underworld?
Why are there Chinese people in China?
Why are there students on school?
Why are there so many people wondering about useless stuff?

Okay, so, basically, this thread has taught me two things:
1. You can cap elite skills from them, which answers the question and taught me something I hadn't thought to consider.
2. Half of the people on this forum are moronic assholes who can't possibly fathom that somebody might have a question about a topic they don't personally find interesting.
I think I'll just go back to leeching without an account. Half of the people on this board are exactly the immature dolts that make the game so damn annoying sometimes.

You ask a purposeless question, you get a purposeless set of answers.

hahaha rage.

From my knowledge of skill capping theres only 2 bosses in those X's on xennon.co.uk the monk boss then a bit further up the warior boss.

He had what he thought was a valid question and received a couple a valid replies.
Why some feel the need to deride others on here I do not understand, as this will only put people off asking questions as they firstly consider what reaction their question will get.

Might have gotten a better response in the Q&A forum. Also, if you go skill capping out there, you don't have to look for the aura; just look for whatever Mursaat is level 28.
DarkGanni
You can also do chest runs for mursaat weapons

Actually, there are 4 spawn points in Ice Floe for bosses. I know because I have capped elites there a great deal. The best place to start from is Marhan's Grotto.

The designers probably thought they should put Mursaat somewhere. If they weren't in Ice Floe, there wouldn't be a single non-mission map with Mursaat. It would've been more fitting though if there'd been a 'Mursaat map' in the Ring of Fire Islands region.
