Here is a really cool article from the Washington Post about how families will use MMO's to keep in touch. They specifically note Guild Wars in the very beginning and even include a screenshot (which includes Stefan) of a family that plays it.

That is a very good article. It is nice to see one that is not blasting gamers for being homacidal maniacs. To bad the "games are good" articles are so out numbered by the "games are teh evil" ones.
I personally play GW about 5 nights a week with my wife once we put our son to bed. There are a lot of people we don't tell about our gaming habits because they think that we are weird. Like for some reason sitting on a couch watching t.v. is so much better then playing a game together.

Being somewhat old-fashioned, I'd be horrified to have my mom see some of the things people type ingame, but I can see where GW is perfect for some families. I'm also surprised to see video games represented in a good light.
