Quick and simple:
Your group should get bonus fame if you beat a group whose average rank is higher than your group's average rank. That way, every time rank 9 iway gets rolled, the good players who beat them would get more fame.
Likewise, a higher ranked group should get slightly less fame for beating lower ranked teams.
It would only be a slight change. On any map, you could give groups +X fame if they win, where X is their position, high to low, of their average rank. That way, the highest ranked group would only get 1 fame, and lowest would get 2 (or on scarred, the lowest would get 4) plus the normal fame for consecutive wins.
This would encourage 2 things:
1: Dont make groups that suck, *cough* iway *cough*
2: High ranked groups will want lower ranked people so they dont get less fame for winning.
Slight change in fame gaining

So farm fame off the higher groups, you encouraged flaming IWAY more than what I have read. If IWAY " SUCKED" why even mention it's name in your thread.

IWAY doesn't suck. It's absolutly great at winning the first, and usualy second matches consistently, giving you a small amount of steady fame in a short period of time.
Overall not a horrible idea, would certainly help people who are unranked gain fame faster, but that doesn't mean they actualy "earned" that fame. Sure there may be plenty of good players who are unranked, but there are also many HA-only players that have rank and are absolutly horrible, most being filtered out by rank 6 or 9. You'd be making rank easier to attain, by allowing very bad players who have no rank to essentialy let better teams pull their weight, if the proposed idea worked how it was supposed to.
However, consecutive wins will obviously offset allowing some person tagged as a "noob" by HA players coming along just to get more fame for beating lesser ranked groups. Besides, how many people really want to play with one or more less compitent players to get more fame if they win, or playing with a full team of compitent players, and having a higher probability of winning, and winning consecutively.
The change would solve nothing, the only thing it would do is allow guild groups that are mainly GvG, or a mix between HA and GvG to goto HA get everyone their emote in less time.

I see your point zui, but if you did this, it would still give higher ranked players a better incentive to make builds that dont lose as much as they win. I just feel proud when my rank 3 guildies beat a group of all rank 9s, or leeloof/brehon's team. I think it should be worth more than just a few fame. Rolling the best players in the world should give you something extra. I also see where it could cause problems. It is only a suggestion, A-net will ultimately decide if it is worth it.

Those "best players", may have been running a complete new build, new people in the guild to try out, grab 8 and go, IF your rank +3 IWAY can beat any group than stick with it, don't try new builds, IWAY is yours to keep.
