An idea for anet to give players more storage and a home.
dreamhunk
I have read about buying more slots for guild wars Why stop there? I think Anet should make a package game with storage, one charactor slot and a home for people who want them. make this game package like mini sems, a add on for gw. Where you can buy stuff for your home. Say you get extra storage with your home. Sell this package say for $30

I would rather see them put the time and effort into other improvements (more PvE content?) and future chapters.

A home would be great for additional storage. Buy a bigger home to give you additional storage slots.

Although I'd really rather see extra storage as an ingame option though instead of buying. Like 5k for a bigger storage. Another 5k (or however much) for more storage and so on up to a max storage size.
But if they arent willing to do that then buying storage is the next best thing I guess. :/

This sounds more like an idea to sell "House Space" for X amount of real life money, just as new accounts are being sold(?)
And then whats next they sell you the furniture and stuff for real life money(?)
Sounds like pay for perks. Might work though.

I like the idea of in game homes, but paying RL money for it? No way. Just make the damn expensive (50k+) and kinda like Guild Halls.

First, if I'm going to pay real money, I want real stuff for my real home. Like Guild Wars comforters for the kids, Guild Wars drapes for the kitchen and living room, Guild Wars plates and cups, and Guild Wars bath towels, hand towels, and face cloths.
In game gold gives me in game storage. Like every rune of holding costs 500g. But if you want to add a second rune (for 15 spaces in the one bag) to a bag that currently has one - it costs 1000g when you go to add it. If you want to add a third (for 20 spaces in the one bag) - it costs 10,000g when you go to add it.
I would really like to buy all the things in the firstparagraph as well!

1 extra character on same account is already worth the 30$... and having a home which you can custumise in time (with alot of plats) in a city special with all playerrs homes... would end up like a mix of Sims online and GW, but would be alot of fun. would be nice if they also brought in a marriage. get married with a player (only 1 at a time), you two are the onlyones allowed in the house, etc.
after i get tired of shooting arrows at Ice imps, i can come home and my "husband" cooks me dinner.... :P

I once played a game called EUO, and they let people who donated money get houses. Those houses were like a giant storage too. You could customize it with furniture, display cases for your weapons/items, and it was really a great idea that added a lot of new players. Would be pretty cool if there were towns with districts too, imgine the parties.

The only way to logically do homes would be to have them just like Guild Halls, only smaller, personal, and with inhome storage that you can only access when you're home. Then you can allow for customizing of your home (for a price in gold and materials) and can invite say, up to three guests to visit that have no access to your storage.

I like this idea.
Say for example (though the chances of this being true is like 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1) some guy has ALL of his slots (storage, backpacks, belt pouches, bags) with 250 ecto in each slot AND he has 1000k in storage and 100k on char. He is stuffed... He would practiclly have to give away his ecto's, seen as he can't sell them cuz he has max money.
So extra storage would be neccecery in this case, though in actual GW it would prolly never come up in a 1,000 years :P

I'm not against more storage, but I have learned to live with what I have.

Really, I think with that news out, that this suggestion is way too expensive. $30 for a $10 thing and a little more storage. Is storage really worth so much that you would pay $20 for it? I don't think so...
Count to Potato
1. Your "Home" should be Guild Hall
2. Mule Account as your storage
2. Mule Account as your storage

idea seems intresting

well homes would be nice and for extra storage.... but custemizing it would be kind of boring or kinnda stupid since... you wont really be using it un less you can have a show case to show off all your cool weapons and stuff ..a chiar would you really be stting on it since thier are no sit commands well thier is but its for the ground and not sitting like a real person would do on a chair just in IMO...
but a storage and a show case area would be a good idea... the only resaon i think this would be a good idea is im just not to sure how guild storage would work if its for all the guild means you put some thing in thier and some one ells takes it... not to sure i'll like that much or put money in thier and ect....so what im hoping for is that the guild storage will be indivedal and not for hole guild if its not whats the point in it....

I would say just make your "home" and show case area be part of your loading/character selecting screen.
You can put your Dragon Skull Trophy there.

ok, how the frell can your guild hall be your home as such.....
wheres the actual rooms needed to sleep?
in almsot all of the Halls, theres nowhere even CLOSE to an area thatyou and your guildies could call a barraks.
admitedly, GW chars dont need to eat, sleep or even take a bath *Sniff....sniff....ah, the stench of a True Warrior, that has not bathed since the Searing Ghaa!*
however, if Halls had options to add extras, i could undrestand people saying use them as homes....
I do like ActionJacks idea of your house being the loading screen, i mean, my charactes look like they have the 'JesusBug' from the sims (thats where you had pets that would walk on water to their owners when they swam.it was funy to see a cat sitting washing itself in the middle of the swimmingpool lol)
since everyone likes their halls, and PvP chars can also enter them, i think it is more fair to alow the halls themselves to be upgradeable....i mean, it can incourage RP in PvP chars to go to a hall that has been upgraded a few times...
like, for example....guild has an *buildings Fund* stash that all memeberrs can add to...some can pay gold, others add materials and you can pay the Xunlai to build stuff onto the hall....like use stone and wood to make a barracks (benefit is the *personal* character storeage locker...5 or 10 slots per character, not per account that you can use to keep your best set of showing off armour in, after all, in a hall, you can show your wepons)
or add a small temple room....(benefit is, one, you know when your side has favour cause the minature statues do the same as the large ones...two, you can prey/donate to each statue and get small benefits, or even a quest or two)
and best of all, you could add interactive places like the training rings, the bar (who needs to port to droks for dwarven ale when you can just go to your Hall and get ratted in safety )
more RP style guilds would decorate their halls with banners and other items, fix up the mini-temple with nice alter threads and generally, be more than just a gang of peeps with the same guildmane and a cape that matches

But homes I like that idea alot to....
Just think about it .. extra storage a showcase of what ever you want to show to other ppl hell can even up grade it to have all the little things thats posted about ( what Rayea said )
But on this new chapter I would like it if they had a homes only dist where ppl can stand around talking selling trading and even picking out witch house you want (witch one is cheaper...witch one will have more room for things... witch one will help me out the most and be around the gold I'm willing to pay for at this moment in time or need to go get and save) and it would also be great if you can by a new house if and when you get the cash to affored to buy one of the better ones but i guess that would kind of kill the upgrade your housepart lol
O and on the upgrade your bags with runes thingy (not sure if it was on this thread or not pretty sure some one has said it in this one to if not guess i'll be the first on this thread)
that is also a great idea up grade you belt to hold 10 instead of 5 and your bags to 15/20 instead of 10 just think when your out farming thats 10 to 15 extra things you can cary thats up to almost 1k depending on the location your farming in and aslo the drops but I always nit pick though every thing I Ident evry thing and sort them out 70g + on the last bag on up till I get to the carppy ones 40g-60g I keep them untill I get another drop then just drop the lowest one and pick up the new one and see how much that one is worth if its more than the one I droped I keep it and so on...
