How to get to Zaishen Elite?

the above picture is what Challenge Master Rioka at the Zaishen Challenge area tells you about getting to the Zaishen Eite area.

Below is the relevant quote from what he says:

I have tried to follow these guidelines but am having trouble

1- I am only fighting Zaishen matches with henchies. Do I need to be in a group with live players for this to count?


2- I have beaten 5 different challenge teams. But each time I win I get the message that says VICTORY! consecutive wins 1. even after 5 straight victories it always says consecutive victories 1 - so It is apparently NOT adding up consecutive wins.


3- Is there a place where Anet has clearly stated the rules for these PvP areas? I have read many guides in forums but they are not specific enough to answer these types of questions.

Can anyone shed some light on to this for me?
I'm getting a bit frustrated after many different tries

(slite rant)- Why cant there be a guide for these types of things? I have had to ask very basic questions here in these forums. I can understand the PvE areas are the great unknown so as not to ruin the story for new players, but where is the guide for the PvP area? (rant off)

This should probably go in the Q&A forum. And my best guess is that you probably faced one of the groups twice.

Can you access Random Arena? The requirements for unlocking RA and Zaishen Elite should be the same. I suggest giving it another shot and seeing what happens. It is possible that a bug was introduced as most players have already unlocked Zaishen Elite. You should have the Zaishen Elite opened up for you though.

Yes, I am able to access Random Arenas and Team Arenas and Heroes Ascent.
But can not seem to get into Zaishen Elite for some reason.

I don't think it's supposed to add consecutive wins. That only happens when you get to the Zayshen Elite. All you have to do is defeat each team at least once to move to the Zaishen Elite. As soon as you do, you will see the "Zaishen Challenge unlocked" warning.

I never played with humans, always henchies.

I would say you still have at least one team to beat. It's the most plausible explanation.

You don't have to beat them all with the same character too.

bokken: did u beat 5 different teams ie obsidian spike, iway, ViM, monk spike, and iW? cause beating 1 team like iway 5 times wont unlock Zaishen Elite.

And it never adds up Wins in the normal challenge. You jsut have to beat all the differenteams once (takes like ~10 wins, because of repeating teams)

To the best of my knowledge you need to beat each type of team in the challenge just as Jedimagician said. That is probably why nightrunner asked if you faced one team twice. You need to beat all types of teams at least once in order to advance.

the easiest way is to tag along 3 trappers they'll beat 5 time's without breaking a sweat and there u go

Trappers Own the Challenges.

A good Trapper group in the elite challenge will get you 4-5k faction before you know it (The Elite Challenge doesnt have a 1k faction cap, I think its ~5k).

It must have been some bug or something because I did beat every team.

Lol,.. I even kept a list so that I wouldnt think I was just dreaming that I beat them.

I came back the next day beat five teams and got the message that I had unlocked the zaishen elite....sometimes the bugs are not readily evident which tends to get a bit frustrating.
