XP scroll on doppelganger?

I was just thinking: would this be possible? Or is it a fixed xp amount (like any other mission)?

Scrolls don't work on him/her/it. Same deal with completeing a mission and bonus. The experience is a fixed amount.

I think this might have been a bug that was FIXED a long time ago. As with most quest rewards it's a straight award of XP and not like XP gained from killing a monster.

In short, no it won't work, but go ahead and try it. It's like 1k and 1 minute of your time.

Yes, it would be neat but it isn't. It is a waste of your scroll.

You can use it while fighting, but the EXP scroll would have no use, BUT you can farm the doppel for drops.

Last time I checked the Doppleganger doesn't drop anything! Killing it is the test for ascension nothing more.

he does not drop anything, at all.

he used to, waaay back, and everyone was farming him for yellow/purple weapons. the Anet fixed it and now i don't think he drops nything, and if he does it will be a normal white thing

Perhaps they changed that, but the Doppleganger did used to drop items. It was never anything special, usually just some white or blue <max weapon.

He does drop stuff, even though it's all crap...

And actually, every time you kill him you get 100XP so if you reeeeally wanted to waste scrolls like that... I've been farming him recently just for kicks, because it's funny to see him die when he's suposedly my superior mirror image...

Yeah, he does drop some stuff, but it's all trash. And you do ge xp from killing him, but that's seperate from the 50k you get fro beating it.

I beat him while using an XP scroll once. Instead of the 50xp or whatever that you get for killing him, I got like 100xp! Its not worth it...

Missions with scroll would be amazin tho

The scroll will work on the exp you get from killing him, usually 100xp if you are level 20, but will not work on the 50k exp you get as a reward of ascension. BTW, I don't think I ever earned the 1000xp from the bonus although I'm sure I killed him in well less than 50 seconds several times.

i killed him in like ~8-9 sec with my elem (pure fluke) - apart from that its been like 16+... i got 50 + 5k bonus? or is it 1k?

it all went by so quickly... so :P
