50 globs of ecto for 1,000,000 GLD???
At current trader prices it isnt even this amount. That's 20K an ecto!

The same thing is going for 320,000 GLD which is a reasonable 6.5K a piece.

I don't know about you, but some people are trying to jack up prices for everyone or something (or is it typos).

I actually think its just people being stupid. They think its funny, so they make a new account and place insanely high bids on something, but then they don't plan on paying. They pretty much ruin that whole auction whenever they do that, you don't know which bids were serious, which ones were complete nonsense, but you can be sure that they won't be paying you 1,000,000 gold for those Ectos.

I do find it odd though that someone with 15 positive feedbacks would be pulling a prank like this...there usually seems to be a trend of new users with 0 feedback doing these false bids.

I personally just think its someones sick joke or game...and I really don't know what we can do about it...

Why not make it so you need a certain number of posts in order to bid, that may at least discourage some people from making new accounts. On the other hand it will probably annoy genuine traders who don't post.

I think there is a bug with the system, not sure if this has been fixed or not. I usually click on the "[] remember me" button, since I hate having to log in all the time, on all the sites I register to. So one day I go to the GW Auction site, and I'm logged on as someone else. I didn't realize it right off the bat. It wasn't until I tried to check on an item that I had for sell, that I noticed that the item wasn't under the "active auctions" section. So I thought I needed to log in. But I was logged in already (forgot the name). So I had to log off from that name, and log back on under mine before realizing what I could have done under that other person's account. I think that may be one of the reasons for those absurd bids. I don't know how that happened, but if that happens often, people can do all kinds of stuff to that account that they accidentally log on to.

Two days for a response lol.

It is a pretty big issue as well. It kind of ruins the idea of defeating the idiotic prices ingame if people start to do it here as well.
