Titan quests -- repeatable? Good farming?
Francis Crawford
I just did Hell's Precipice for the first time, and hence got Defend Droknar's Forge for the first time.
Are the Titans quests repeatable? Or if you officially complete Defend Droknar's Forge are you done with it forever?
And how are the Titan quests for farming?
Thanks!!

you mean drops? very good. I get about 1 sup vig each day to sell for the market price -2 or -3k. haven't gottent a gold magus sheild or any gold weapon yet. i get gold titan armor all the time, well untill the farm code kicks in, wich makes killing titans worthless.
Francis Crawford
Thanks for the answer!
Hmm. Is there a clear ordering as to which of the titan quests is best for farming, in terms of drops? Conversely, how small a group can farm these quests? My only character who's gotten that far is an elementalist, and the only other one who's even gotten to Sanctum Cay is my necro. Cherno
You can repeat them as long as once you do it or farm the area you abandon the quest before talking to glint. Although you will miss out on the XP she gives.
I would say go ahead and complete DDF, and then complete DD for the XP and just farm DNKP. Knido
people farm titan quests quite often, and there are a couple builds on the site for it
Kidney Licker
Gold is nice, a minimum of 100g drops.
Is all this titan farming why steel prices have dropped? Francis Crawford
Thanks for the advice!
I did DDF, and have the three followup quests now. I play an elementalist, so if I'm going to solo farm anything it's going to have to be where enchantment stripping isn't much of a problem. kvndoom
Only the Rotting Titans strip enchants, so just avoid them.

That sounds easier said than done.
How does one avoid them? I do have one build idea, however, for dealing with the problem. Two, actually, counting Mr. Frosty (which is Permanent Obsidian Flesh with Storm Chaser for energy management). Taigech
You don't have to avoid them. I think they only spawn in certain points (at edges of the land), and they don't move.
Cirian
Rotting Titans are quite rare in DNKP and they're wimps on their own - if you can kill all the other titans around it, a 1-on-1 should be reasonably easy, enchantment strip and all... you can always bait the Lingering Curse out and put enchants up afterward, it has quite a long recycle. Or maybe use Obsidian Flesh? (talking about elementalists that is)
Francis Crawford
Ahh. The Rotting Titans don't move. Thanks for that info!
The problem with Obsidian Flesh builds is energy management, the more so if poison forces a lot of self-healing past what Aura of Restoration gives. Anything EXCEPT a Permanent Obsidian Flesh build would require practice in walking out of Maelstroms fast enough despite the multiple slowdowns on you. That's what killed me in each of my first few tries. NJudson
Ok...please forgive the noob question, but what is DNKP, DD and LDD? Also, I recently got to Granite Citadel so I could do the Defend Droknar Quest, but as I saw in a different thread there is absolutely noone there doing this quest. Everyone is either looking for IDS farming or skill capping. I am just wondering how difficult is it to get a group on this because so far it seems virtually impossible?

once you complete defend droknars forge you're given: defend north kryta province, defend denravi, and Last day dawns, 3 more titan quests. Once you complete those, you are given the final titan quest, i forget the exact title, something like Titan Source.
as for getting a group for defend droks, its pretty had, you have to go at peak times, and it might help if you try to get a guild group. although i did do it with hench. Hunter Freeman
The quests are becoming harder and harder to do since fewer and fewer ppl are doing them.
I might be getting to the point where I'm willing to pay a Titan Farmer to "run" me through DNKP NJudson
One thing I don't quite understand though is I've recently completed the Hell's Precipice mission with my necro and ranger (and soon to be monk) and there is usually a fair amount of people looking to do that mission. So naturally, it would seem to me if there is quests and such to do beyond the story missions then why don't people want to do those? I actually did see a few people starting up a DDF group very late last night and I didn't join because I was exhausted and on the verge of collapsing into a coma.
