First is this. Maybe I just did too many skips on the cutscenes, but I was wondering whatever happened to the whole thing about the Ascalon refugees. It seemed that it just skipped from that over the the White Mantle vs. Shining Blade part. When Rurik died and you get past the Frost Gate is that when the whole Ascalon story ended? Second question is when you're in the quest to find Glint and you're in the lair of the Darkness dragon, why are there dead Ascalon guards scattered around?

For the first question after the frost gate you do gates of kryta which lets you and the ascalonian refugees into kryta and gives permission for them to make a settlement, location of which is in North Kryta Provence. For the second question, i wouldn't have a clue.

Me either. They might have been chosen who Ascended and failed, but I want to know that too.

For your second question, it appears that Glint has been luring Ascalonians all the way there into her Lair for quite some time We're the only ones that made it out!

I think they were just there to give necros something to exploit. Raise a minion, open a blood pool, etc. Purpose for the story? Who knows.

The ascalon refugees make it safely(at least some of them) through the shiverpeaks. When they get to Kryta, they make a settlement there and begin life annew. They did what they came there to do. Mission complete for the Ascalonians.

When we, the chosen, get there the Krytans are suffering from an undead attack. We being heroes, help the White Mantle and become very close with them. Then they drag us into their affairs and a new plot line begins.

As for the second question...
I don't know. Glint is a mysterious one.

Glint wanted a snack. But after teleporting them all there, she realized she didn't have any ketchup, so they wouldn't be tasty and just killed them. :-P

huh... guess everyone else is just as stumped with the ascalonians in glint's lair, but you're probably right about being just there to raise minions from. However no one MMs that mission so it'd have to be blood pool
