Exactly, im pretty sure this is last minute Idea. face it they have been working on factions for a long time and they needed to get it done, once it was done they were able to sit down and think of what special stuff they could do.

i just went to it and it loaded fine. maybe you need to reset your internet connection.

I dont know about you guys but when I ordered mine CE of faction I got a key a few weeks later in my e-mail , in the e-mail it said that this key was valid for Factions preview event and the 24 hour - headstart

Why would I have a good idea about what to do? I've had absolutely no experience in ordering Guild Wars and it's pre-order package. I bought Prophecies some time after it's release, until a week ago I didn't even know the Prophecies had a pre-order package.

And true, I made the wrong choice, but I'm only learning from it. Next time I'm ordering when I'm absolutely sure where to order and when.

a ploy is a trick theyd pull on you to buy the game, and seeing they are just stating this now, instead of a while ago, which would have given people more time to know about it, I can say its not a damn ploy

I preordered GWF after the Factions event, and my ishop has sent me the a key which gave me the preorder items, key for the Faction Event for myself and a "friend"( which wasn't much use for me, as I've GW Prophecies) AND the ability to participate in the Head Start (i.e. play 24h before no-preorders).

So I guess there is something deeply wrong with some online shops...

So, because I haven't ordered my pre-order copy of factions from those three (american) sites I can't take part in this? What a jip.

(speaking of which, I got my pre-order items key a while ago, but I'm yet to get my copy of factions or play-early key for chapter 2 from the site I bought it off [gameseek.co.uk] so blah.)

No your getting this wrong, there is only one pre order key. It gives you the pre order weapons, and it lets you play at head start.

the sites they listed are just some of the american retailers that have pre orders.

This is incorrect. In the most recent chat with Gaile you will get your bonus 2 slots during the preview event but you must add a retail key to your account within 10 days or the extra slots and cathan become inaccessable.

...so why does it say only pre order items key in the account management...?
