Yeah I was concerned as well. Before it said under Prophices "head start event" something ... and now it doesn't... (so we'll see)

I already downloaded a moderately large patch this afternoon. It changed all the PvP armor skins, some names and the why dye effects Necro Scar Armor.
I also deleted all my pre-loaded area data becuase my anti-virus indentified them as a spyware...go me.

OK thanks Swinging Fists. Now I just have to wait until amazon.com ships my collectors edition I ordered. Right now its sold out but I preordered it way back in march. So 10 days, huh, thats good then, I haven't created a factions character, well only for that preview weekend but just deleted it because I will be using my character from original GW to use in factions. Even if the 10 days are up I can still enter then CD key, after 10 days and still have access to Cantha. Thats if my game gets delayed from amazon. Amazon is usually very fast with shipping.

I hope the head start isn't a total failure, and comes out to be something horribly stupid. I'm not a fan of tengu. Personally, I really hate those stupid birds. Oh well, lets have some fun. 4 hours left.

I would assume that the proph characters on the account that has the pre-oder key will be able to access these events because it says for those of you who have not been to cantha a quest is available in LA which leads to Cantha. Even so I will probably join the mobs of assassins/ritualists.

Yeah I know, it shows now how much area is explored, but what does that little box do when its checked? I didn't notice anything checked or unchecked. I have 80.3% explored now I have to just roam around areas just to open up the map more I want 100%. I have done every quest mission and bonus.

Its summertime in Germany (GMT +2), so the head start will begin at 9.

the website is based off of PST (midnight 12:00am PST) is when it launches, my guess is something with daylight savings time.

I think they forgot to take into consideration GMT is now on summer time, so the timer on GW.com says 45 minutes to go to 7:01 but it's actually 7:15 already, lol.

I don't know about what it says as far as WHEN the head start event will start for your time zone, but it seems like it has been delayed by an hour. It makes sense considering it won't be the 27th for them until that last hour is up. I suppose whoever made the headstart countdown needs to pay more attention!

Mindtrust, where do you live? All you have to do is convert Pacific Time to whatever time zone you're in.

Comparing with other posts in other fansites, the countdown clock isn't computing the DST/summertime setting of your PC so it appears wrong if you are currently using DST/summertime.
