Well, mesmers are the funnest class definately...but are they useful?

In pve:
monks can 55, run and are needed in almost all team builds
Rangers can solo fow forest, trap and theyre good for team builds too
Warriors can solo uw, fow, rof, sf, they can run and are needed in team builds

Etc...

But what can mesmers do???
Can they farm?
Can they run?
Are they needed in teams, because in my experience as a tank i rarely see a mesmer on my team.

This is not a flaming thread or another one of those ' mesmers need to be buffed thread' but rather a thread to decide on whether i should make my own pve mesmer or not.
So please reply here with what mesmers are useful for!

You can solo with Mes. You can run pretty good, too. But in PvE Mesmers aren't anything spectacular. Comes PvP tho, it's gg. So... I personally have my PvE Mes and sometimes use him but I also make PvP ones constantly.

Well my pseudo-warrior tank build was pretty decent, your heals helped cover my damage taken while using healing sig That and the real challenge of Abbadon's is Willa, who probably didn't expect eight mesmers coming their way

As for dunham... he was more dead than alive the entire time. He needs a buff

I don't understand how you all managed to take screenies while he was alive

You really did have few choices.

If i was a monk i'd be a little worried if 8 mesmers we're coming at me too. Would've been quicker if someone had Diversion, hehe.

You can remove that Shield Stance, it was a nice Photoshop but we all know you were using Frenzy really

Awesome as frenzy is, I chose not to take it out of respect for the mesmers that have to heal me

Good to know

Someone might've had it, been as it lasts 3seconds its a git to aim at Orison though.

If only i knew why i'm wandering around the Oro quest with henchman...

Perhaps we should all go clear SF next time

Dunham need to learn to stop Spamming Distortion first while we have no enemies in the area.

At least he did the smart thing and used Crippling Anguish on Cairn while we fought him. The only problem was he then didn't move so it pounded his 60dp ass into the ground
