Recently ANET allowed you to get any skill you have unlocked in PvP from any skill trader. I've got a small problem with them doing that.
When I play a class in PvE for the first time, I find it much eaiser if I get 1 or 2 new skills at a time so I'm not overwhelmed. However the skill traders now show far too many skills for me to be comfortable with it.
So what I'm asking is for ANET to adjust them in some way so that I can clearly see which skills I've unlocked with faction, and which skills were always at that skill trader. Some possible options:
Make the name of a skill in the list a different color
Add an option to hide all the skills that aren't always at that skill trader
Make it have 2 tabs, one for the unlocked skills, one for the skills always there
Though, as long as I'm able to easily tell which skills were always there (without checking places like guildwiki, which is an annoyance) and which skills are there because I unlocked them, I dont actually mind how its done so if you have any other possible ways ANET could do this please post them. I expect ANET to take whichever one is eaisest to program, if they decide to make this change.
Now I dont expect this to be too much of a problem with Rt's and Sin's, which is what I will play first, so its not a problem that I feel is urgent, but I will make a PvE ranger someday and since I've got all of prophesis (and probably factions by then) unlocked for PvP, it will become a problem then.
Option to filter PvP unlocked skills at skill trader

Actually I like this idea. I try not to unlock too much with faction but I do do so on the odd occassion. I'd love to know what has been unlocked already with faction so I can concentrate on buying locked skills before buying those which have already been unlocked.

IDK. maybe a different unlocked icon? I guess I unlocked almost everything in PvE prior to the faction priests implementation. about the only stuff I did with that was warrior skills as I don't play warriors of any kind, and The Superior Absorption rune which to date I have never seen actually Drop for anyone I have ever been associated with. So it may be interesting to be able to tell the difference between a Faction unlock and a PvE unlock... but I don't really see the reasoning you are using for doing it?
I mean on a new build you unlock what you want not everything. thats the point of the change to the system. on a 2nd or 3rd build in PvE I doubt there would be any reason to buy certain skills if you have no intention of ever using them? especially if they are already unlocked...
In some ways I kinda wish I could block the skills I wish I didn't unlock, that I never use yet I have to filter trough the huge list when making my build... in the skills list. lol Thats why I like pure character mode in PvP. not cluttered with all the extra attribs from 2ndaries you have No intention of using... I kinda still wish we could do pure character builds in PvE...
