Bleached Carapaces- solo?

Is there any way to solo rockshot dev.s for bleached carapaces on either a monk, ranger, or mesmer? I know it sounds odd, but I need quite a few of them, and was wondering where I might find some. Preferably without Jade Scarabs popping up everywhere.

Thirsty River is best to farm those. 55 Monk with SoJ can farm them. Watch out for Distracting Shot. Use Blessed Aura and 20% enchantment longer weapon for longer lasting SoJ. You can even pre-cast SoJ then go in and aggro afterward if you want.
Warrior can do it too, never try ranger or mesmer so I don't know. But with ranger maybe you can use degen to kill them one by one.

^^ Reason for this topic, Shaz. Thirsty river? OK. I usually Mantra of Resolve them when i go, but i never have enough of them without other things to live >.<. Thanks for the tips.
