I think ANet needs to change the "PreOrder" term they are using for their "PreOrder BOX" to avoid confusion to new & casual customers. To us who've been here since the first day ANet announced about GW, we know the difference but to others, they are confused.

I can't help but noticed that the confusion starts from that terminology, customers asking they "pre-ordered CE/standard" but didn't got their CD-Key and so they're pissed and angry with either ANet or their retailer (but usually to ANet).

Since the term "pre-order" means ordering something early on while the product is not yet in the stores. Versus the "PreOrder" box It really gets confusing for new & casual customers.

Just a thought to help ease the confusion in the future and upcoming stand-alone expansions. Maybe it's too late for C2: Factions.

Yeah, like I sent a friend of mine to Pre-order Factions for me at Hastings, and he said he didn't get any box or cd-key. He just got the reciept. Is the cd-key on the reciept? I haven't seen the reciept because he forgot it at his house, but he'll bring it to me tomorrow

Hmm, nope the CD-Key isn't in the receipt.

It could be one of these two things:
The retailer your friend ordered to thought he was pre-ordering a retail/final box; or
The retailer do not have the "preorder box/package" yet or at least the CD-Keys ANet released (w/o the box).
