Honey! I'm stuck in Europe!
Nilator
Yeah...
I am American, being from American districts at one point. But, not so much these days...
Arena.net and their odd number of Territory changes, and my lack of common sence every once in a while, got me stuck in European Districts in my quest for more favor and wealth.
Anyway to get, maybe, one more Territory change?
"Steal" it from a guild mate or friend? By steal I mean get permission from the person to give me one of their Territory changes?
Thank you all.

I don't think you can 'steal' a territory change. Of course, I could be wrong.
imaginary friend
well at least you get favor most of the time. if you want to meet up with your friends in american districts..... go to international

Laibeus Lord
well, 6 is a bad number to some countries ;P so only 5.. hehe j/k
try to contact Guild Wars Support, who knows they will grant you 1 last exeption
other people did the same then we haven't heard about them after that (i mean heard about them asking for territorial change), so give it a try.

Or we can all move to the European districts just to make Nilator feel at home.
Nilator
I think Opeth11 has the best idea.
Opeth11
Of course. Love me now.
Poison Ivy
Drive over the Anet headquarters and ask them to re-new your territory change or you will be forced to strip.
90es
I don't think they would give you an "exception". This is because that problem was supposed to be taken care of already. You wonder why they give you 5 territory changes and not 1? Anyways, ANet gave you 5 chances to make up ur F'in mind. So I think you're stuck in Europe forever.
Nilator
Well the thing is, I'm sorry to say it but, I don't mind being in Europe. If I could get over the fact that most are nubs, being a monk I can clearly say that. It took my FoW group 15 mins to figure out that I had not paid. And as one of the Europeans in LA english 1 said, "It isn't bad having favor 20 hours of the day." Yeah, I don't mind it, but I find Americans to be better players, PvE wise.
widowdaballa
But then again.....Maybe she will get 5 more territory changes when Chapter 2 comes out? Just a possibility. A-net wants to charge me $50-65 per chapter for 2 more slots, they hopefully give 5 territory changes each chapter as well.
Make up my mind? Why would I want to be permanently in Europe Districts if I live in America? I'm not forced to live in America all my live, I could move to China if I wanted to. So why should I be forced to stay in one country's district forever? Please leave your pessimistic degrading posts in those "other" community forums.

I suppose that they don't want you to switch over and over so that you can have access to Favor everytime.
I feel smarter today.

You had your chances to move around, your fault alone your stuck for your greed.

i quit GW and gave my account to a friend and recently started up again (same account).
he switched servers several times 'cause it had a 55 monk on it :P
he ran out of transfers while on europe >_<
it pisses me off... i have to go to ID's to get anything done and it is hard to get a halls group.
and the worst part is, even though i have favor 70% of the time i'm logged on, i cant get a damn SS necro to run UW in the first place!
so yeah, pretty much the same boat i guess. i sincerley hope merging factions renews my transfers. if not, heads will roll >:)

my friend had the exact same problem except he was stuck in america. All he did was contact anet and they transfered him back to europe.
Aarroe of Gilgamesh
i was stuck in america because of the odd number of territory changes a month ago. the thing is theyve realized the error of having it be an odd number like 5 and have since changed it to four. if you are the odd man out talk to support and they will permanently move you.
Jedimagician
yea my friend plays on an american server and he did too many transfers and got stuck on europe, he told me he sent an email to gw support thing and they let him back in american servers but since he jokes alot i dunno if this is just another one of him jokes

Personally, I'd like to see ArenaNet do away with this silly limitation and allow unlimited changes (but only once every month or so to prevent taking advantage of stuff).

In America, the BAD players lurk among the following locations: Thirsty River, Thunderhead Keep, Ring of Fire, Abbadon's Mouth, and Hell's Precipice. People in those areas tend to have bad attitudes, and are extremely frustrating to work with.
My guildmate and I (Monk and Ranger) took 4/6 henchmen with us on all of the missions starting from the desert and only had 2 failed attemps. Abbadon's and Hell's. I blame Hell's on Mhenlo.
As many players would agree, Henchmen > Pick-up groups.
You'd think Europe's players would be much better, seeing that they are destroying the Halls recently o.o
Back on topic. I think you're stuck in Europe for a while, Nilator, unless merged accounts counts for 5 more transfers. Hope it all works out well for you.

There are at least 6 separate threads on guru here where people have had this problem.
In every one, upon asking GW support to move them back to their home server one last time, that request was granted.
If you decide you wish to be back in the American server, simply start a support ticket and you will get moved back. Disregard the flaming cornshooters and go straight to support.

According to Gaile (see dev tracker for entire log), Factions won't bring a renewed transfer option. Support is indeed your best bet.
Jiao Yang
I have heard of people getting one last change by emailing Anet. Also, make it sound like you are really really desperate to give yourself a chance

Happened to me, send an email to ANET's support, they will ask you for account name and CD-KEY and will change your account back to America one last time.

If europe is too hard, you're too soft...
Our noobs are good cannonfodder, use them as such.
From stories I heard, if you get stuck somewhere you can be moved back to your original home but nowhere else after that.
I guess the territorychanges are only for those people who move continents... I mean, litterally move there and live there. Or for those who bought an ami version and live in euro, etc...

I had a similar problem. I was stuck in the American districts. If you email support they can change you one last time.

However, many people have, for some reason, gained some pity from Support, so it's not uncommon for them to grant you one more if you are stuck in the wrong territory.
Ninetail Trickster
Yep... beg support.
This thread's title surprised me... I was expecting something along the lines of you like, playing GW at a wifi center at an airport and getting stuck as a result. ^_^;

Despite what was said, ArenaNet can and may grant you one last switch, if you provide legitimate reasoning as to why they should grant it to you. A member of [AL], before she joined us, had done a little server hopping and found herself stuck in Europe with no switches left. She e-mailed support, and they surprisingly did grant her that last one switch back to America. So it is possible, but you better give good enough reason.

just ask nicely, say you goofed, and follow the instructions they give you.
chris_nin00
Like others have said before, there are already many threads on this subject.
The answer has been stated many times in this thread too.
"They will switch you back to your home country, when you ask support to do it for you"
Follow the instructions they give you and ta-da you're back in your home country.
Then, that's the last time you'll ever be switching.
