This way is what I have found to be the easiest (if you are not doing bonus):
Have a warrior grab the torch but not light the beacons. The whole party camps the king with the warrior in the front. The monks focus healing on the warrior who runs and grabs aggro as enemies approach. If good aggro management is done, then all of the enemies stay focused on the warrior giving the other team members enough time to pick them off one by one.
This works very well even if perfected armor and the monk boss show up!

Failing that, light the beacons and camp the king. The additional jades that come in because of the bonus will wipe out the first two waves of enemies that come into the fort.
Then the rest of the party camps the king using the lull to fire off some catapults. Warriors engage at the entrance to the fort (provided enemies are coming from one direction) or on the stairs.

Trappers are awesome. Have them trap the TOP of the bridges over the doorways. Traps have no height requirement - so they'll trigger if they walk UNDER the traps.
This Slows them, and gives them conditions, making it lots easier to pick them off as they come in. Even kills most of the mantle.
Make sure the warriors know this, because they like to fight them before they can hit the trps <_<
Other than that, you got your ways
