Hi,
I live in Europe and I am just expressing my concern about when I will get my Pre-Ordered copy (via Internet) of Factions by post.
Here are the ugly facts:
- Actual Relase Date of Factions = April 28th (Friday)
- No Postal Service on Saturday
- No Postal Service on Sunday
- No Postal Service on Monday (May Day Holiday)
- May 2nd (Tuesday) first chance of getting my Factions Game delivered by post if the retailer put it in the post on April 28th (Friday) before the weekend.
- May 3rd (Wednesday) most probable day I will get my copy of Factions.
OK. I did pre-order over the internet so I got my Pre-Order Key. That means I can play April 27th (Thursday) and April 28th (Friday) without the actual game.
End Result:
Pile of Crap.
I am screwed from Saturday to Wednesday. No Factions for me although I already paid for the game.
I am in for a L O N G weekend of frustration knowing that others are playing and I have to wait for 5 extra days to get my game that I paid for in advance. Pile of Crap.
NOT GOOD!
Anyone else with the same problem?

They send out the game on like the 25'th / 26'th so that the game ARRIVES to you on the 27'th / 28'th.
I Live in the UK, my order is with GAME.net and I phoned them today to get it confirmed.
If your unfortunate if you have orderd it from somewhere who are experiencing delays.. then yes! gutted for you! it may even be longer than May 2

having worked for royal mail, I can confirm the may day back log is a bitch, rest assured though that business mail (particularly big contracts from online retailers) is given priority over social mail. Even more so now the market has been opened up and they need to keep customers like this...
Now if only the regulator (read greedy government) didn't just make up it's rediculous "fines" based on the profits they see royal mail making.
In other news, the union just agreed to yet another below inflation pay rise (ie pay cut) poor workers!

Skull, I got the same problem. My store (Mediadis.com) still doesn't have it on stock so better have it tomorrow or Wednesday, but I doubt they will send it the next day or Friday... (doesnt shipping takes like 2-3 days normally?)

Well, do you all live in the country you ordered it from? Cause you should take that into account, in ordered it @ GAME.net and I live in the NL, so it should take like 2 days longer, shouldn't it?
