Ideally you should have your party members set up to hot keys, but I find that on my laptop keyboard I simply don't have the room. I'd like to put them on 1-8, but I obviously use those for skills. I can't use q-i because I use those for their default uses (movement, targetting, inventory.) Same thing with F1-F8, but I may start using those if I can, and remove the previous uses for them.

For now I just keep my mouse on the party window and click

I use 1-8 for party members and clicky with my mouse :P Also, I have skills right next to my party if I ever need to choose with my mouse. They're set up in a 4 over 4 formation.

I've been thinking, I use the numerical pad a lot, so I am pretty familar with it. I could easily set them for party 1-8 with the zero as a quick healing like orison.

7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
0

first guy would be 7,so the strokes would be

7 target him 0 activate orison

I've tried 1-8 as Team Members and F1 - F4 for my main skills, and the last 4 skills I just clicked. It worked, but I still prefer clicking the targets in the party screen, since I don't do any extremly serious PvP in the first place, I don't need the ultimate hot keys, since the best aren't the ones I enjoy playing with the most.

So in my opinion. Play how you prefer playing, and play with the way that's best for you when you're in serious GvG/HoH matches

Skills 1-4 on their respective numbers
Skill 5 on Q
Skill 6 on E
Skill 7 on V
Skill 8 on R

Q and E keep me from having to reach over and are typically used for my energy management skills for quick access. V is typically Divine Boon and R is whatever I slot there be it a res or CoP.

Move with WASD and use mouse to select party members.

Just click the party window and use skill hotkeys instead. I find it much easier to react to a spike if you're clicking the thing that's showing you who needs healing instead of fumbling with 8 seperate keys. And for self heals, just hit the 'target closest enemy' button. How do people that use target hotkeys heal ghostly hero etc.?
