Hello. Unfortunately I cannot pre-order guildwars factions due to financial problems. I will be getting Factions collectors edition mid May. Am I really missing out on alot? I mean, will the items be really good, stuff like that?

It's going to be fun, but missing out on a month of play-time really shouldn't affect you that much! The drops will probably be the same, there will still be hype, if you're lucky some of the weapons may have dropped a small amount in price seeing as they're not so new and spangly anymore.
I'm sure there will be many others not getting it straight away. A few of our guildies aren't. They want to spend more time on Prophecies, or their parents wont let them, or like you, they just dont have the funds yet

Ok. Thanks. But the pre-order items are nothing special? I just feel a little left out since I can't get the pre-order items 
I got the prophecy one(Chimeric prysm).
Edit: Also will I be missing out alot on the 24 hour early access event? It's a one of a kind event, that i'll only be able to see pictures of. I know alot of people didn't get a chance to pre-order the original guildwars, or pre-order factions. Can I have some of them peoples opinions on this? Did/do you feel left out that you aren't getting the pre-order items and the special event? Or does/did it not really matter at all?

Im not fussed by the preorder items... a dream catcher weapon and some daggers... cool, but nothing to write home about. I payed £2 for the pre-order box from Game without having to pre-order the game from them. So if you really feel you're missing out, head down to Game and pick one up. In our local, they had them on the shelf with £2 on. Got the pre-order key, poster, music, and the pre-order wepons... they didnt even ask us to pre-order from them!
I suppose thats one way of doing it if you're a bit skint... and you'll get to play the day early event, then wait till you get your full copy to play properly

Ok... also another factor. Will Anet ever host any "Pre-orderers for all games only event", where the people who pre-ordered both games will be able to participate.

Also, my local store is quite far away from me, atleast 40minuites. I'm staying away as I do often. Is there anywhere on the internet where I can purchase pre-order keys only? If so, please let me know.

so we pay 80$ (AUD) for the game+key etc...
then we pay $2 for a PRE-order.. then how much is the actual update to get factions?
or is it just a new key to allow us to use factions?

You see I booked my copy of factions plus the pre-order key way back at the start of this month. Yesterday, i went on the net at work to see if the preorder key had been delivered to my home and saw that neither items had been dispatched! I phoned amazon.co.uk and asked why I hadn't received my pre-order key and they told me I wouldn't receive it until at least may the 2nd or 3rd as they had not received any stock of the game.
As you can tell I was annoyed, so I cancelled my order with them and went to HMV and got the pre-order pack for free!
Yay!
Learn from my errors....snub Amazon for shoddy pre-order service!
