[GW Support Answered] Upgrading Standard account to Collectors

To begin with, I searched to see if there was such a question as the one I'm about to ask and eventually gave up due to so many threads concerning divine aura since people fail to use the search button. Rather than creating a thread to ask, I simply went to Guild Wars Support with the following question:

Lol I know this is a really old thread, but ArenaNet is there any way of you possibly changing your minds now that it's been so long? I would love to have the divine aura, and am completely willing to pay for an upgrade in the online store to get it. no its really not its collectors edition for a reason (sorry if i am sounding rude) but if you want devine aura pay the 350-500 some sellers are asking for the origional ce thats what some of us did it woulld verry much cheapen the "deal" if they made it avalible in the online store

Yes I'm buying a separate collector's edition, but it just sucks that there is no way to undo the "mistake" of buying the normal version. All 3 of my accounts are linked and I'm really far on my main character, so buying a separate account doesn't make sense but if I'm forced to I guess I'll have to

you don't need to make a seperate account just to use the CE featers just add the CE key to your account like you would any other kay and bam you have all the CE featers to your normal account

So even if I own all 3 campaigns I can add the Collector's edition to it?

Yes you can add it and you'll get the divine aura. also i don't think we,ll see a collector's edition upgrade some day since the CE are supposed to be limited editions.

Oh thank goodness! Scrap the upgrade idea then XD I thought there was no way I could add the Collector's to my current account because I already had the normal version. Will the extra character slots be added or not (aka will it "over-ride" Factions normal edition?)

I don't get what everyone is complaining about then lol

people complain that they bought the first ed.....then had to pay again for the ce. Thus paying twice for one copy, just for the 'upgrade'. (and no new character slots, only a divine aura). so thats what they are complaining about, that and the fact that ce of prophecies is getting harder and harder to come by!

Yes, you'll get all the benefits of the CE, including the minipet.

Whilst there are some good arguments for not providing the Divine Aura as a cheap upgrade, you getting gouged out of $350 isn't one of them.

It would not be a "collector edition" if they made it available again.
Device Aura was part of Ch1 CE and it should stay that way.

I just ordered the CE of Factions so that I can get the mini dragon...I know, it's lame to do that, but I'm not having much luck getting one otherwise (200k to buy one)...it's good to know that I can upgrade to CE! It *will* work the same for Factions CE...hopefully? ;D I know this wasn't about Factions specifically, but I'm assuming that if it works for one CE, it will work for any of them. You have no idea how happy this makes yours truly.
