Usually with posting on vB forums, phpBB forums, IPB forums and numerous others, you can do red blue and so forth.
Is there a reason this is disabled?
No color for posts?

A good reason would be to keep the forums less cluttered and more orderly. Signatures were also disregarded not because of bandwidth usage but because of the statement I said earlier. I really don't want to sift through colors and signatures to get to the real meat of the debate/topic/discussion. It just makes it messy.

But don't rely on my word. Wait for an admin.

The main reason I am asking is because I noticed recently when I made a post to help a fellow forum member.
It's a post found here under the Tech Spot - format thread.
My HijackThis Converter uses blue and red colors to show headings and to show which items are malicious.
An example can be seen here on my Lunarsoft.net forums.
Hopefully there may be some way for colors to be re-enabled?

Tarun,
In a case like that I would welcome colors. The problem is that once something like this is implemented it becomes offensive. People like to 'distinguish' themselves and this would be result in posts now being red, blue, yellow, brown, grey, in order to make a point. It's just not something we'll be bringing back.

Is there any chance to make it a special feature such as for certain moderators? I know IPB can allow moderators only (or special groups) to have HTML (which would work for color too)

Well, so far highlight is doing a pretty good job at getting attention, so we're content with that. It gives a bit of uniformity that helps convey the message

I hope that something might be possible to allow color, even if just in that forum.
If not, I'll have to edit the Converter output to remove all "blah" or replace that with the highlight; though I don't know what to do about the blue text. Aah dilemmas! :P
