You can dye it. It will change the icon to funny colors, but until I see it wielded on an actual character, I'm calling it out as a hoax.

first off, a blue weapons' damage is WHITE in letter color...not blue.
seccondly, i outlined the lines on the outskirts of the imported weapon pop-up; clearly showing badly-edited shades of blue.

Ok so if the Blue weapon's color damage is white, how come the fiery dragon sword weapon color is coloured blue. Usually Slashing, Piecring and Blunt damage names are in white. But when upgraded with a hilt for elemental damage it makes it turn blue, with the exception of dragon swords since you cannot upgrade its hilt. FDS Fire Dmg is blue; and IDS Ice Dmg is in white.

collector-type-weapons including IDSes all have the damage in white. this goes for any "collector item (blue set-stat weapons)" in the game. and since the hilt to an IDS (or a SDS) would not be able to be changed; the damage lettering would be in white as well if it were such a "collector item," agree?
now, seeing as how its impossible for a weapon to have a 15>50 mod and not be gold (unless its a green or "collector item"), that would imply that these SDSes drop just like the IDS; and thus, have their damage written in white, like every single other "colelctor item" in the game.
