What type of R/? to be until...

Hey what type of ranger/? should I be before traps become readily available to me? Since ive noticed the traps everyone uses show up later in the game and well until I can get my hands on those I want to be a ranger/? that is good and will easily transition into being a trapper. Thanks to those who reply to yet another "what kind of ranger blah blah blah" thread lol...

You really don't need a secondary! 
I very rarely use any secondary skills in PvE. I'd say either /W, /Me or /Mo.

Based on what you plan to do next, go R/Mo just for ressurection purpose.

Generally R/Mo with rebirth or ressurect, rest is pure Ranger. But if you would like for example to try Conjurer build, then you should take R/E. R/Me is also nice with some skills (but for PvP or Random Arenas generally). Alltogether R/x - any will be nearly the same good choice, cause the best idea for first parts of Campaign is to use Ranger skills only, so Mo to ressurect many times seems to be the best choice.
IMO R/Mo is good cause Ranger in most of the situations is one of the last to die in team during lost battles, so you can always escape using any running skill and wait for good moment to ressurect all the other team members.
