I logged in and was standing there and got the message to get another build. I logged out, exited, and restarted the game.
Initally in the "lobby" my char was in totally wrong armor. He wears scars from the waist up and necrotic legs and boots. In the lobby he was wearing goofy green armor that looked like starter. When I logged back in, my scars are now red.
<< My avatar shows the color of my scars before patching.
weird
today's update changed my armor color

Don't complain--I'd say it's an improvement!
I've seen this many a times in the past, on my monk, with his tattoos or tattoo/armor combinations. I use a nice teal color, but sometimes they will look default (blue) at the login screen. Sometimes it will just be parts blue (like scalp or arms and feet) and the rest the correct color. No idea what causes it, but it didn't originate from this update.

The character server is still loading, when you enter the game itself after the lobby it should show the correct armour type you were wearing before you last logged. This happens when there some delays due to large files seaming to your com which causes this. Armour colour changes with scars are common but armour set changes usually happens when you havent logged in for a long while.
When i looked at my necro after logging in, his scar was quite brilliantly red (after i looked at it). It had always been kind of a dull fleshy cool before (undyed). Since my necro has a silver theme, i simply dyed the scars silver (which i think looks fine). It would appear that dyes function in a more normal many with scars in relation to other items now. I'm going to test this on a PvP only necro in a moment.
After some testing, it appears that facial scars still have the odd coloring habits that were previously known. It appears that overall, necro scars have been brightened up in color reception abilities. Furthermore, the body scars colored the dye color, and indeed did so in a very exact manner.
Second thought on possible consequences: Dye color testing on necro bodily scars may become a practice, since they seem to very accurately represent the coloration of the dye.
