The stores have the game before its release so obviously he knows someone that works there or works there himself.
That's not a display box. Display boxes have "FOR DISPLAY ONLY" written in huge letters on the front.

You can tell its a display box from the top and bottom flaps. I have a few from random games that my EBGames was giving away. They look just like that. And they don't say for display only.
Now go grab a real box from a game and you'll see what I mean...

the real trick is getting a standee display, i have several in my attic now from my days of employment with EBGames.... that and 90% of my tshirts are game shirts i got while working there..

Yeah, it is only a display box. 
I paid for the CE at GameStop and they gave me the shirt. I didn't even know about it. Then when I walked out of the store and saw the display, I went back in and asked about the cutout. They said someone already claimed it but to be back on the 2nd. They gave me a box instead. They also called the sister store, EB in the mall, and their cutout is reserved by some kid. They didn't think the kid was going to come back for it though. We'll see Tuesday morning.
And yes, it is exactly the same as the regular Factions box, only larger.

Rex, ask them if they still have shirts and that you didn't get one with your order. Tell them you didn't know about the free shirt thing. Your best bet is to go up there with your receipt when the same cashier is there so they don't think you are scamming a 2nd shirt.

i seriously called like 6 stores before finally asking at the eb that my friend worked at. but my friend had already claimed it. but since i have the absolute coolest g/f in the entire world. she called him back after we left and made a deal with him. she is paying him for it....(paying money for all of those gutter minded ppl out there) but i am getting it and i cant wait. headstart is starting tonight and i get the cutout next week........weeeeeeeeeeeee<--- happiness!!!!!!!!!

ok, so when i was at gamestop, the guy called eb (the sister store) and said that i wanted to pay $20 for the cutout...the girl at eb said no, and he said 'good, because we're not allowed to take money for them'.
make sure your friend doesn't let it leak out that he sold it or he might get fired.
Rex, I would go back to the store ASAP to make sure they don't run out of shirts. Bring your receipt.
