Ettin farming nerfed?

Yeah you guys keep saying the other day and such - but those of us who went out after TODAYS latest update aren't seeing jack shite!

Yeah its been like that for ages with me, took 4 runs to actually get a gold armour (had 2 purples in that time) and it wasn't even superior. It seems like all these drops are been reserved for one person...

Up until today I've been doing okay, even though I have noticed a drop off lately. Today ..... nada.

yeah the drops had been a "litte" sparse lately but today its obsolete! NOTHING IS DROPPIN! I am getting short bows, hammers, a long sword, white pauldrons, humps, and hides... THATS IT! And that is TODAY ONLY!

been out 4 times only one blue pauldron and it was a minor prot rune
I remember one time maybe 2 months ago and me n some friends were having a "gold pauldron conteset" and we were seein who could get the most in one run, and i ended up getting like 7 or 8.
Though yesterday before they removed the kurzicks/luxons i did get a sup vigor
so maybe they did nerf the ettins today?

Many times its luck and the characters "seed" when they are created that determines your drops.
I've have multiple farming characters on different accounts. My monk was created with a great seed an consistantly get good drops no matter where I'm at.
My necro on the other hand never gets anything. My mes gets drops all the time. My war is so-so.
There is no way to see the seed on your character or a way to measure it.

Ok, ETTINS have officially been NERFED. I used to get about 10 gold armors in about 30min consistently, but now I'm getting a bunch of white crap. This was my business for the past month or so (selling gold armors), so I can say it's been nerfed. My guildies have confirmed the same and they all used to have the same luck as me.
I was really hoping people were just have bad luck, but that doesn't seem to be the case. You can expect runes prices to go back up, especially with Factions coming out. Probably a good idea to stock up on Superior Runes...

it is NOT an Ettin nerf...I'm betting it was a global nerf or something...ever since the patch last night, I have not gotten a single gold or purple drop, not counting chests.
I have a spot that always gets at least one gold armor and 2 purples per run, but today not a single one. Absolutely northing gold or purple has dropped for me anywhere, except for chests.

I've done a lot of test on this to confirm it for myself. You can believe it or not that's up to you of course. I know this to be true from the test I've done.

Just a thought. With Factions releasing in a couple days, and runes for ritualist and assassin, perhaps they stopped the good rune drops and (hopefully) the drops will be back after the release with the two new classes added to the drops.

Doubt it. I've also gotten no shrads while farming the beach by myself, but when I'm with somebody else, the drops are fine. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

So.. Haven't read all of the thread, so if anybody has come to this conclusion before, excuse the redundancy.
When they changed NKP last time (added kurz/lux) alot of people went to visit to check it out. Same deal now with the removal (go find the lovebirds, see if camps are gone). Ettins farmers were sure of a nerf back then too.
ALOT of people went to visit those areas when these updates hit, meaning alot more instances get spawned.. Most likely you've just been unlucky with the generation of the area as you enter. Especially if each area has its own random number generator for purposes of generating the spawn, loot tables etc.

Its taking me about 4 runs to get a 1 gold.
I haven't farmed ettins in over 2 weeks so loot drop isn't at work here. At my seed on my war its so bad.

Also now they have increased the odds of getting vigors and absorbtion and gold armor alway gives sup runes, purple = major and blue = minor. From now on.

my friend just got sup smite and sup absorb in an hour, due to gold armour always being superior now and the increased drop rates of sup absorb.
one very strange bug tho, i got a "rare armour" from some undead, id it, and it was just called "armour", it wasnt a rune, it salvaged to 6 tanned hides, very weird, pissed me off bigtime

errm well this morning I was getting nothing and tonight I got 6 in less than an hour (sups that is) - I dont ID, I let my guildies unlock (I only have 1sup left to unlock so no use wasting them).

Meh.. I've gotten the same recently. Of some 10 or so runs, I've only gotten 2-3 minor runes, and a major soul reaping.

When I farmed after the patch for 2 hours, I got 1 gold (sup water) and 1 purp (major sword). That was it.

It's been fixed. Drops are (somewhat) back to normal. Gold armor drops are now all superior runes. Note: not more superiors, just fewer golds. However, official word is there will be MORE superior vigors and absorbtions. Guess the price will drop on those soon.

"Gypsie Ettins have retrained themselves using lighter armor, thus not dropping as many rune-infused items anymore."
Do y'all get this clearly? GYPSIE ETTINS seem to have been NERFED! Or "Fixed" if you will. No more easy sup rune farming in Nebo Terrace.
