Dude I just got a monstrous eye the other day - to what point?!?!?!

OK so the rare material trader in LA doesn't seem to have monstrous eyes, fangs, or claws (rare crafting material that I dont know what its for but anyways////

OK so I found monstrous eyes in Ascalon but none in LA o_O

hehe yeah I didnt see your post before the edit - just a little weirded out is all I will back my spazzing off and at least pretend to be more intellectual than I appear at this moment =P

Did my last edit make sense? If not, the trader in ascalon keeps juggling the monstrous rare materials like they dont exsist or something - Ruby's and Sapphires are saying SOLD OUT to some people... The economy is freaking out.

noone is supposed to know that atm... they wont be useless because fow and eternal forgemaster are still there. but if they have no use in factions expect price to sink really fast.
my personal bet is to see them at 4.5k/5k at the trader tomorrow... then prices will take a clear direction when someone finds out if new fow-like places still require ectos or new materials. in the first case expect prices to top 10k again, if not, 2k is a pretty realistic scenario

ectos were supposedly salvageable from Dark remains already...just like a 1/300 chance thing. This was either false or removed from the game, if they are salvageable i think they will be hella rare.

The rumor is that sapphires,rubies,monstrous fangs/eyes/claws will be used in the making of Faction armors. Also the rumor is many of the top guilds already knew this and have been buying out the traders which artificially inflates the prices. Those that have done this would make a huge profit(if these rumors are true) from those that need these materials. Inside trading is illegal in the real world for good reason.

I had just assumed Rubs and Saffs were going so fast becuase of the ever popular rumor that they will be used in some new form of FoW armor.

There is also the possibility that Anet simply reworked the Seller prices to start at something more realistic to prevent over inflation. If everything started at 100g, people would buy and buy and buy until the price was sky-high (cough RuneEconomyRollback cough) so to prevent such, the prices could have been "set" and a relatively low, but still realistic amount. This thought came to me when I noticed that Ink has risen quite a bit in price, which is odd to me considering how many people are crafting it, not buying it. Though there will always be those scramblers who buy buy buy at the last minute, but even so, could the price of ink raise by 250gp in one night when a good number of people still have no idea what it is used for?

i used to buy out the trader all the time, they become reloaded with 2 or 3 5 minutes later and the price bumps up a few hundred, stopped this about a month ago when i met my goal. Its just us few people that enjoy gambling and stocking up on items with no purpose buying out the trader.

lol this is hilarious i knew i shoulda held onto my vigor runes. people do realize the runes will still be there in factions so why are those selling out. i undertand buying stuff with no current use but that also relies on luck since you might spend 100k on montrous stuff and it may turn out to still do nothing

Ummm...there are going to be about 1+ million people creating new characters in Cantha. Where do you think they will get all the runes? Also, people are going to get new armors for their existing characters, and if they don't salvage the runes, they will need to buy new ones.

People are buying them now before everyone else does...

LOL I already have 3kids and really don't need to be in bed (at least till I get sleepy). I get plenty of rest and much playtime with my kids - GW usually comes while the youngest naps, and the other two are doing their learning games (i.e. Vsmile), and then later in the evening after they go to bed.... It's the way me and the hubby share some time together as well as with our friends ^_^!
However thanks for the concern, today has been one of my more spaztic days

Ectos last I check (which was 4hrs ago... been napping... >_>) have gone down to 6.5k and so I dont know where they are now in price. Crazy to hear about the runes tho -_- I did buy one sup absorb before the madness kicked in thankfully.
Anyways off to shop - LATERS and keep that info flowing for others ^_^!

I'm hoping for a one toothed monsterous fanged firebreathing mega ultima weapon of destruction... but if that doesn't work I diversified into black dyes, claws, major vigors ect ect ect.
