Well once you upgrade the Video Card, the rest is pretty much above specs. You might want to upgrade Ram to about 512MB for smooth operation.

ok thnx

Yeah, get another 512MB of RAM, and pick up a 9700Pro or 9800Pro real cheap on ebay, and you'll be good to go.

In regards to the video card, make sure that you purchase a card that is physically compatible with your motherboard. (Just in case you didn't already know, no offense if you did. )

I have the exact same except I have 1.79GHz. It takes me a while to load everything for the first time but after that I always load within like a minute -_-.
It's fine for everything except random arenas where the countdowns are low.

256MB is really low these days. Windows can eat up most of that by itself.
512 is bare minimum that you want, or the computer will be paging all the time, and the constant hard drive thrashing will drive you nuts and slow things down some. Especially if you play at a higher resolution. The higher rez you play at, the more RAM the game will use.
I have 1GB of RAM (would get more, but I have a 1st gen A64 Clawhammer which has serious trouble with more than 2 sticks of RAM) and the game loads and plays smoothly, even with a few browser windows and other stuff open.

I should start a New Computer for MCS fund and offer signed photos to anyone who donates, come on really? Who doesn't want a signed photo of me?

Dual rank RAM only works when there's two modules of those, bought 3 512MBs and can only use two. Other alternative would be to buy 2 1GB dual ranks.

Not that it's interesting but this is my PC
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ @ 2GHz
NVidia GeForce FX5600 Pro 128MB ~ 400MHz
512MB DDR Memory
120GB Harddrive
Would it work.. it's a bit old I know but it plays GW smoothly
Maybe I buy a new one, later this year
