Has ANYONE had a gold/purple item drop today?

Not counting chests

I've had the day off today, so I've spent most of it playing the game. I've noticed that I have not had a single gold item or purple item drop...not one. Only chests appear to be dropping gold/purple items for me today, period.

crazy theory

I think that ANet disabled uncommon and rare item drops until Factions launch tonight, to stop the +5 energy items from dropping early.

Just a theory, but thought I'd throw it out there.

of course, that all goes out the window if someone has actually gotten a gold or purple drop from a monster today.

there goes your theory. Tomb run. Gold 15^50 eternal bow req 13 though. Dropped from Banished Dream rider.

I think you are right. No purple or gold drops for me today after 4 hours of farming in different spots.

Many have dropped for me, more purples and around 3 golds.

I have also had golds and purples today

Unlocked a Sup Healing and Sup ABs. Just you.
