idk what you are talking about, but the guild lord is now decked out in leet asian-themed garb.

I think he means this guild lord. From the update notes:

A Guild Lord NPC now appears in guild halls outside of combat. Guild members may talk to this NPC to hire service NPCs for the guild.

I think this is what he means.. And I'd really like to see the guild lord actually put in the hall like the update said it did.

I think it will only be active as soon as Factions is released.

Hopefully so, though I thought I read elsewhere on these forums that the Guild Lord (and the ability to purchase NPCs for the Guild Hall) is only available for PvP... or something like that. I didn't see him in our hall yesterday either, although the Xunlai Agent's "table" was there. I assume he is there now that the Factions early start has begun. Any confirmation?
