Yes, I just got done with a FoW run with LBS, and needless to say, I used my ele. I got a pic of all the NEW sets and materials required, so Assassin and Ritualist FoW is also available, so ectos and shards are NOT worthless, if anything, they are worth more now. Cheers. Here is the pic!

Most likely therefore the prices of Ecto's and Shards will go up slightly, but I don't see them going back to being 12K each or anything stupid.
As a lot of people will still wan the new armors. So everyone is a winner!

I'd guess the price will peak to about 8K, but hopefully will remain the 6.5K average it is at the moment. A lot of sellers continue to try and drive up the price.

Buy: 4.7k
It's late morning in europe, the prices usually are a bit lower then then at the rest of the day. But they never were that low. Hope that doesn't mean they decrease to a lower level permanently. Also realized that rubies and sapphires went up a good amount. They are now around following merchant prices:
Buy: 6k
Sell: 8k

that was pretty obvious i been saying it all along and everybody was so certain the highest grade armor would be jades and ambers

I'd say the best thing to do at this time is collect Ectos now while they are at their lowest price. If the go up, cool. They aren't going to get cheaper that is for sure.

I personally have never been very attracted to FoW armor, the only one that looks remotely good looking to me is the male Elementalist set and since I don't use Eles....yeah.

So those could still be using rubies/saphhires, while our current fow got updated to include new armor stats but still the same skin.

What I'm kind of confused on is the naming. I have FoW Armor for my Warrior and it says "Gladiator's (Part Name Here)" without any Obsidian title in it. The new updated FoW Armors now have the Obsidian inside the name of it. Will the already current owners' armor name change or just stay like that?

The word "obsidian" has been added to armor names, in accordance with the naming convention introduced in Guild Wars Factions. For example, the Monk leggings that provide additional armor against physical damage are now called "Judge's Obsidian Pants" instead of "Judge's Pants." (This change does not affect armor crafted prior to this update.)
I'm dissapointed too, since I just have fissure boots on my warrior, and would feel sort of stupid getting the whole set now

From an extremely simple economic standpoint, if demand increases, price will increase. Since it will probably take a little while for all the canthan folks to get to toa (assuming there isn't a FoW portal in Cantha), shard and ecto prices probably won't rise much for another week or so. FYI, the rare material trader was selling shards at 3.8k around 9pm est tonight (4/27)... ectos were going for 6k.

hmm Im gunna have to get more info on this, Im an ele myself, and I want to makesure thats the right material for making battlemage armor, cause I havent seen anywhere in the game yet require deldimore steel yet for that armor.

Read around u can get to tyria and u can also get to FOW from cantha. Theres a pic of the assasin FOW in the assasin forum, chest and arms. When i get off its time to get my Rit. through pre and get some armor

I cant confirm (Cuz I dont have guide) this but a guildy told me that in the strategy guide it says that there are 20 materials in Cantha that salvage into ecto....
