Hi, i wanted to know whats the best eq for a boonprot in gvg/ta.
i usually play with this skills:
signet of devotion/contemplation of purity
reversal of fortune
guardian
mend condition
protective spirit
holy veil
divine boon
mantra of recall/energy drain
i´ve noticed that some players use garboc´s cane+garboc´s chalice to get 36% chance of 50% less recharge(and fast cast).
but this weapons make only sense if i also take Contemplation of purity with me to get the active mantra off when it recharges faster.
but otherwise i like signet of devotion, especially in gvg, more than CoP, and so i must take energydrain instead of mantra, or take other weapons(if mantra+signet of devotion).
so what do you think- which combo of skills/weapons is better?
i´ve noticed also that the top guilds(evil&co) play with mantra but without CoP and use 2h staffs or other weaponcombos.

I actually don't like to use Prot Spirit in TA, but that's just me...I've just found that I've almost never needed it except vs ob flame spiking teams or something similair (which are rather rare in TA). In gvg I can see why you would want Prot Spirit. I'm also going to assume that you'll have other monks on the team (hopefully another 2 boon/prot monks or a boon/prot and a healer).
I would probably use the one that has a chance for +1 to prot (staff) or a wand with 20% recharge reduction (on prot prayers) and an offhand with 20/20 recharge and cast time redux for inspiration (assuming you're using Energy Drain). That way you have a chance for E Drain to come back faster. I generally use MoR because I don't gvg. I want to try out E Drain in TA though.
I would say that you should use Signet of Devotion with Mantra of Recall (to avoid the extra energy cost, since everyone keeps getting flamed for MoR + CoP). Use CoP with E Drain so that you can use Guardian + CoP or just CoP to remove a hex (it would take boon off as its target).
If you use garbock's, here's something to keep in mind:
Assuming 8 inspiration
Mantra of Recall dropping: +21 energy
Re-applying MoP: -10 energy
using CoP to remove the Mantra as an energy gaining use: -5 energy
Re-casting Divnine Boon: -5 energy
Net energy gain when you cast the 2nd mantra: +1 energy
If you factor in the other mantra's energy gain: +22 energy
you end up with an extra 1 energy...not worth it just to use the other Mantra.

I can understand why some of the top guilds play with MoR: Multiple monks, they probably are not timing their MoRs with eachother...that way, the Mantras are staggered, giving the group an almost continual flow of energy.
for TA: Run the build you have and run CoP instead of Sig of Devotion, maybe run sig of devotion instead of Prot Spirit unless you get attacked by a spiking team early on.
for gvg: Run signet of devotion and coordinate with the other two boon/prot monks to find out who is running which skills so that you don't pointlessly overlap skills (not talking about Guardian and Rof, I'm referring to things like prot spirit and aegis, which is nice v spiking).
Good Luck!
