2. the game is not available in retail stores in the US until tomorrow april 28, as far as i know. so nobody should have the game yet here.

1. I didn't receive any edition yet.
I just got off the phone with somebody from EB games who told me, that the CE was delayed and will be out on the 29th, not on the 28th.
So not only am I "stupid" enough to pay some extra bucks for an CE, but I also get delayed.
2. What is it with question #2? I think I answered that in #1

4. guy from eb-games said 29th.
5. according to the eb-games guy, there was something wrong with the box (not the CD) which needed changing.

I hope that, whoever is reponsible for messing up, will,somehow, come up with something to make up to those morons (me me!!) mad enough to order the CE.

Well.. I may aswell answer myself..

1: Collectors Edition
2: No, but recieved a confirmation email today(27th) confirming my orders been dispatched.
3:www.gameseek.co.uk
4:Probably Friday/Saturday, if not then it's going to be atleast 2 days(Sunday & bank holiday Monday).
5:None- apart from the fact that my order status hasen't changed and still says "pre-ordered". Just for those others who ordered from gameseek, they say they did not recieve any problems with the collectors edition.

Answers:
1) Collectors Edition - Pre-ordered - not yet received
2) Did not receive game yet.
3) EB Games
4) Store manager said EB Corporate Head office told them no to put it on the shelf or give it to anyone until April 28. They have the game, just not supposed to make it available until then.
5) Only problem is that Guild Wars it giving penalties to whomever gives out the release of Factions too soon. This wouldn't be a problem but if the advantage of getting a pre-order is to play the game 24 hours ahead of everyone else, and the official release date is April 28, then pre-orders should get them April 27 (today). We should complain that their method of pre-ordering makes no sense. Give us incentive to pre-order then tell people, too bad, you get no bonus at all.

2) Did not receive game yet.
3) Fry's Electronics or Ebgames (i preorder from Fry's but will try other stores)
4) This electronics store has tons of games and items in there and they usually got a huge batch being shipped out for the first wave of release. Hopefully, they'll have several copies of GW Faction: Collector Edition in store by next week.
5) No problem at all, except reading different posts of peoples who got the game early make me wonder if my store has them yet (4/27/06). It easy to preorder from this store, just walk in, take the preorder box and walk out with your box and paperwork for the preorder.

They sent an email today explaining about the shortage of CE boxes, and said they'd try to get a copy sent out today/tomorrow.

5. What problems are you having with the order or ordering process?

Gameplay only sent the pre-order key in email. I didn't get any kind of preorder pack/music CD or anything. The Collector's Edition I've ordered is late.

According to the online Best Buy location finder (lets you check if a local BB store has the product you desire), the store nearest me (Albany, NY) has the standard version in stock. Early this morning the site said they didn't, so I'm thinking they did get it in today, and it's not some mixup.

Heading up to the mall in a little while to pick it up.

(FWIW, the Best Buy circular this past Sunday said 'Available April 28th', but I'm hoping I can buy it today. I want to start the second the server opens.)

EDIT: Best Buy did, in fact, have my game in stock. Sitting right here on my desk. w00t.

I had the wife call around today and from what she said alot of the stores in Colorado only have a limited supplie EB said they had 8 copies 7 pre-orders and 1 copy for the first customer that walked in. sound like alot of stores here realy under ordered glad i made her drive 150 miles round trip to get our copy's lol

Both my husband and I preordered, he ordered SE, I ordered CE
neither has arrived (though I did get my preorder key so I can play for a few days....)
gamestop for me, best buy for him (both online)
have not received ANYTHING for his, I got only the preorder key---and an email saying that it will be delayed---til at least May 4th...................
dont think I will be seeing my copy anytime soon---will get my character deleted and will have to start over (plan on moving everything of value OFF the character tomorrow jic).
husband got email saying, uhm, we will probably get it in and send it to you when we get it in.....

5. I didn't know there was going to be a problem. Dang if I don't get my CE Friday, I am going to be ticked. I got screwed by waiting for the CE to become available to preorder because by that time preorder packs were gone here, now I hear I might get the game later then the regular edition people. This is really, really pathetic. CE people paid/will pay more than regular edtion people and were the ones who get screwed. Very dissappointing...
