One of my guild mates has just noticed he as the strange affect as seen in the pic, anyone know what this is ?

People have said it has to do with one of the quests. Also, if you note in the game update notes on guildwars.com, it mentions a disease/illness type deal that could corrupt the whole yada yada yada.

it's the the effect of dirty undies! 
on a serious note though it has the same effect as when you're suffering from disease so it's probably some such.... ask your friend to bump into everyone he sees to see if it transfers

It didn't transfer we tried that he has taken his armour off and got rid of all items etc, and there is no option to take a bath, lol. I'm sure its purpose will become clear.

But he wanted me to go down to Undercity to complet it.
I did not have the time at the moment and that glow had me on a konstant degen so i abandon the quest and the glow disapeered.

There is a quest where you drink from a 'corrupted chalice' and it makes you have -2 health degen with the green haze of nasty. Until you complete the quest or abandon it, it's -2 health degen forever.

Yeah, I've done that quest in the Undercity too. Quite annoying having -2 health degeneration all the time.

He wouldn't be suffering any type of degen while in a town/outpost, McHearty Only when in an instance. Unless there is a slight bug in it still. I mean, seriously, why give degen in an area where you can't heal?

I tried to do the followup quest "masters of coruption" to get rid of it,and it says I should kill the sickend Am Fah, but at the questpoint there are non. Any tipps?

Well, they don't seem to have any infos on this quests yet. I allready checked and couldn't find it.

It's a quest and you have to finish it or abondon it I think to make it stop. It's like a poison or something :\

I don't remember names off the top of my head since I did it late last night but you speak to the quest guy and he asks you to drink from a chalice. You then get a constant health degen and he tells you to go to the Undercity. He leads you deep into the Undercity and then you have to fight off several waves of afflicted. I died 3 times trying to kill them all. Luckily the shrine wasn't far off from the fighting. When you're done killing all the afflicted you then talk to the guy again and he removes your poison.

I htink this quest is bugged, ive tried it twice and killed all of the afflicted, can't seem to get rid of the green glow though. he doesn't respond when i talk to him either

Its from the factions quest Chalice of Corruption. You have to last with t on for around 2 minutes. Then finish a quest where you have to kill 20 something afflicted in the undercity. Brother Tailo(?) puts it on you and you suffer a -2 health degen when outside of towns. Inside town it just gives you a green glow. All you need to do is go complete that quest. Its not that hard ive done it before.
