It will get old really reeallyy fast...........played with some of the old henchies (thom stephen etc) and it got annoying after a while.........

Forget the henchmen chatter, how about Cynn's jealous rage? The conversation between Cynn, Mhenlo and Jamei when you first take a Lv20 character over to Cantha from Tyria is halarious.

Then later on when you click on Cynn in town she goes on about how her spells might accidently miss if one of Mhenlo's "friends" upsets her.

If you take Jamei out without Cynn to the explorable areas in town she'll go off about Cynn and her jealousy. Pretty funny...

Overall it's nice and refreshing, but I could see it getting old. However, I'm not going to be jaded yet. It's fun to have all this new content and the chitter chatter of henchies is just sprinkles on the sundae.

I think its great, it gives such a personal feel to the henchmen rather than being just bots.

But what really gets up my goat is the pop up boxes for text with that "boink" sound effect that blocks the whole screen and effects targeting >_>

So far so good. Reminds me of the old Baldurs Gate stuff. If we get one line like the "Go for the eyes Boo!" then I will be quite happy(named my cat "boo" - his official papers call him "space cat boo". Of course, no one but gamers would ever get one). Though sometimes even that could get annoying if the comoputer decided to shout it 10 times per battle in the next ten battles.

So far it's not distracting, I haven't notice it covering anything up and can ignore it quite well. Now, NPC (non-henchie - in a sense they are player characters) chatter is quite annoying, it covers everything up. Not only that but if you click to close the window there is still a long lag between the next bubble. I would like to get some of those over with faster. Both because sometimes it's fourth or fith time I've read it and others because I don't need 30 seconds to read "yes". This is especially true when after six or seven one to four word bubbles that last a long time the NPC blows out a mile long paragraph, you get five words into it and it disapears (forcing you to read on the chat window).

I have to say that I like the chatter that the Henchies go through. My only gripe is they don't have enough different random things to say - after seeing a few things said by them you'll quickly start seeing the same things repeated.

However, it does give a better impression that these henchies are actually people.. better having them comment and say stuff now and again than just nothing. Not to say they act any different or better or such.. just gives the game that "nice" touch IMO.

It also made me remember playing BG2 & ToB and the interaction's and comments that your party member's would make to/for/about you/others/quest's/etc. That really was funny seeing some of the comment's...

I had a well timed comment by the Shock Henchie while fighting some critter (can't remember what the name was).. The shock henchie came under fire and she was being harrassed and I wasn't helping by the fact I was switching targets which was causing the henchies grief ... when she popped up with her "Must concentrate.. must focus" speach. I laughed when I saw that speach right at that time.

And yes although it will become boring, at the moment it's all funny. And Eve scares me. It would be nice to be able to reposition the quest talky bits. Maybe you can, just nipped home on my lunch break and not checked the screen customisation stuff out yet.

He was a ranger too, not a Paladin I believe

I think its pretty cute - It makes me laugh, but unless they keep adding things for them to say it will get very annyoing after a while.

What is really annoying is in the begining with that Trainer guy, and when they all talk the big box coming in the middle of the screen - i hate that

but as long as there chat comes up like regular chat then its great

You can move those pesky boxes out of the way, or disable them altogether (customize).

I used to hate the mission descriptions that blinded me for the first 10 seconds of missions. Now we have this. Cute, but annoying.

Well, at least they put (x)'s to the upper right where you can instantly dismiss them, too, if you choose not to hide them permanently.
