Gwen has been reincarnated as Akiko in Cantha, as this photo clearly shows. I know she is evil because she sits in the middle of a circle formation of green (allied) ninja enemy guys (can't remeber their names >.<! Jade something? Whatever) and offeres a quest. When yout alk to her she says something along the lines of "Help, these ninjas are trying to rape me, go tell my dad!" As soon as you click Acceot to the quest, all the allied ninjas go hostile and body block you into this awkward ring of death, while Akiko prances around (just like Gwen!!!).
I think it was a set-up. Gwen, in her infinite infallibility, has officially gone to the dark side of things for good.

Nono, one of the opening cutscenes when you enter Canthan shows Gwen in it. If you look closely, you'll see a little girl dressed in blue hop across. Totally surprised me when i saw it... I forgot which cut scene though.

There's also a couple of kids with that model running around in the Peninsula on Shing Jea island. So she's by no means unique, that model is recycled quite a bit. Still it's a nice easter egg for us Prophecies players.
