first impressions of tengu masks?

i was wondering what everyone though of the tengu masks. I didnt get one (too lazy) but i did get a chance to see em. I dont like em personally and the first words i heard out of someone's mouth when the emporer gave them out were:

"These things are edit hideous!!!"

+they could of added an effect to them to make them usable.

I love it, but it is rather ugly.

I think they are cool, and the fact they can be dyed is a bonus....if only yule caps could have been dyed

I fell for the hype and took time to collect the naga things, waited for the emperor (who walks slow as hell), and got the mask, and I must say I'm a bit dissapointed. The mask looks alright, but why not give us something useful? c'mon anet, c'mon.

Hideous in a cool way. I dig the things, ended up getting three of them.

Al, the mask is just meant to be a cosmetic thing like the yule cap, horns of grenth, and pumpkin crown given out during the holiday events. Those didn't do anything useful, either.

Were these masks only available today (thurs) with the pre order head start? Or will these still be available on friday when the game is released?

Anet said they would only be available today. So it was a buying frenzy.

By the end they released that the event is extended for another 3 days. My best guess is because of pre order key delays.

Many people I know that ordered online never received a pre order key.

So it's a possibility they will be available Friday. I guess I will find out tomorrow . =)
