How do you get to Lions Arch / Prophecies?

I found the travel boat and took it to the guild hall / pvp zone (with RA, TA, HA, etc).

However, if I click on the travel boat, Lions Arch is not listed as a port I can travel to.

How do I unlock LA? Is there a quest I need to do?

Nevermind, answered my own question.

You have to get the quest "Chaos in Kyrta" and then go out to the docks.

Though I did try this. It sent me halfway to Lion's Gate, then back to Kaninhufgreo Center, can't remember the name. So either we aren't allowed to yet (even though I fail to see why that would be), or it's a bug (which sounds more likely considering the quest got updated).

Gonna take ages to learn the names of all these places. >.>

Or not.... it's says Lions Arch for a split second on the loading screen and then sends you back to factions. WTF mate!?!

edit: Yep, having the same problem as you .

edit #2 : Looks like there's a game upate...going to try the boat again.

There are so many frickin quests.. how do I get past the "presearing" part of Factions and get to the good stuff?

Maybe they don't want the Factions characters into Tyria yet. If after the headstart and if this is still happening, then i'd be worried.

Well I just went and bought the key from NCSoft thinking it would make a difference...of course not. Still can't get to LA almost 1 hour after "release."

This kind of stuff really pisses me off. I don't understand why Anet can't get their **** together.

if i remember correctly, only the "acended" version of charachters can travel between continents

Well, it's open now. And no, you don't have to be level 20 or "ascended" to go FROM factions TO prophecies. I don't know about the other way around.

It was just a matter of Anet getting off their asses and updating the game. About 1 and a half hours after release you could start going to LA.
